All I want is for someone to say that they like the timing and I will be a happy camper.  ;)

Good timing never gets praise; bad timing will get talked about all day.

Dead = Timer so yeah he is right.

Translations only get praised when some other group does a comparatively poor job. And Sindo, genre would be Mystery/Detective here.

Newbie here. Registered just so I can say:

Oh my GAWD! Thank you SO MUCH!

Timing is great; haven't seen any grammar problems (yay!!), except two minor ones:

(1) you could fix the ending karaoke -->

"Even if I my feet get caught in the shackles of sacrifice," (~21m43s mark)

Take out the "I", of course...

(2) "or the police might keep it secret for awhile" (~ 8m32s mark).

It should actually be "for a while".

"Usage Note: Awhile, an adverb, is never preceded by a preposition such as for, but the two-word form a while may be preceded by a preposition. In writing, each of the following is acceptable: stay awhile; stay for a while; stay a while (but not stay for awhile)." Pulled from dictionary.com.

All this, though, just in case you wanted to make it more perfect. Because I'm not complaining; good grief, no!

I've downloaded the other subbers' versions, and LE is by far the greatest; you totally blow them away! Please keep up the superb work!

Thank you thank you thank you for doing Death Note!!!

Thanks for the free QC check and advice  :D We always want to make stuff better as much as we are able! And also thanks for saying the timing was good ;D I really appreciate that. Especially since I'm always up until like 4-5 am on release day to do it well, so I'm glad somebody appreciates it!  :D
"<YaoiBoy> hi guys

<Blue_Mage> I think I might be addicted to the ending song...
<Blue_Mage> It's so pretty."

Thanks, you guys should go to anidb.net, register there and vote rate our releases, compare them with the others' version and tell people, spread the word. It'd help us the MOST, trust me. Having lots of fans motivates fansubbers and they only get better and better.

This thread will experience some Light vs Raito battle it seems.  ;)

If someone can give me a kanji for RAITO and not a katakana, then I'll agree to RAITO but if they right his name as RAITO in katakana, the mangaka meant it to be Light and the English manga t/l screwed up. ^_^

Well if I got time I'll try to find it... But in the manga (english translated), it's been written as "Raito" ... I can't remember the subbers though...

We might want to note that most English translations of works licensed from Japan have to be approved by the licensor. Hence, whatever translation for the main character's name that was used in the English version of the Manga would have been approved as correct by the Japanese publisher.

Just my measly input... :P

In the manga the kanji for Raito is the same as the kanji used for moon, but it's read as Raito.

Well, considering that in Vol. 2 and subsequent volumes, it lists his name as "LIGHT". And I'm not talking the english volumes, I'm talking Tankoban. Light's name is Light,  Ryuk is Ryuk, etc. Many of the main names were spelt out in english in the tanko.

Finally my waiting for the death note has ended, since I first entered the stored and saw light and ryuk on the front label it was like something that I just had to read. since that day I have been drawn into the death note world. so hooked that I even looked for the manga over the internet, and read it all. but still that wasnt  enough I had to buy the English version too but still it wasnt enough, now thanks to Live-Evil I can enjoy a good subbed anime of Death Note. THANK YOU LIVE-EVIL THANK YOU VERY MUCH..
Keep the good job...
This is forever mine...  From dead I rise.
