Thanks for all your hard work LE. We all know it was rough times releasing this series but I for one can say that waiting for each episode was well worth it. Hopefully we all will be back here anxiously waiting for each LE subbed version of 5th stage down the track ;)

Renmazuo: Personally, I couldn't care if they do the whole gangsta thing with the dub because i'll just stick to the Sub, I have gotten too used to their voices to change now :D

Okay, I was just thinking this today, and I'm wondering if anyone would like to expand on this.

Did anyone ever notice that in the second episode of ID: First Stage -- Keisuke says in disbelief something to the effect of "My FD lost to a 10 year old 86." I think that the chassis AE86 for the Trueno, Levin and Corolla lasted until 1987 at the latest. That places Initial D first stage in roughly 1996-1997 time period. Through 4th stage, only one year has gone by. So why is God Arm driving an S2000? According to the time period, that car shouldn't have come out yet.

Not to start knockin' Initial D, cuz any movie, or television show, be it great or crap always has some discontinuity in it, and this doesn't change the fact that I still think that ID is a great show.

I think you can't rely on that comment of Keisuke, because you wouldn't say " I lost to an 11 year and three month old AE86" or something like that, especially when you are angry. So the 10 years are just a rough estimate.

To me, Initial D takes place in present time, more or less. That would make sense, since the S2000 came out in 1999 and God Arm wouldn't race that perfectly in a brand new car.

Same goes for God Foot: he drives an Nissan Skyline Gt-R V-Spec II Nür, which came out 1999 as well.

I'm not sure about this, but the Mazdaspeed bodykit on Keisukes FD is pretty new too. It might be from 2005

Elf is sorta right. ID might take place possibly 2000 or 01.

However the u said MazdaSpeed bodykit. But it aint. THe bodykit on the FD is an RE-Amimeya bodykit used in the SuperGT (formerly JGTC) GT300 Aspara drink Re RX-7. And yes its a real bodykit, if you can find one in the U.S. expect to pay around 9000-10000 for the kit. And yes its expensive because it works, it increases the FD downforce by multitudes (otherwise RE wouldnt use it on their race car), Unlike the crappo bodykits u see on Civics.
The Rims however are MazdaSpeed rims, that are now discontunied, if you can actually find them, expect to pay up to $5000 for the set.
Initial D has alot of things that are real, Takumis Rims are Watanbees, his Tach is a Sampson tach, also now discontunied and hard to find.

Dont be surprised next time when you see a real car with something that you saw on Initial D. The Author takes his time researching his shit.

The body on Keisuke's FD3 went through 3 itterations.

Originally it was a 1992-96 car (in 96 the rear lights changed amoungst other stuff).

Next it got the Mazdaspeed A-Spec body kit, wheels and bonnet.  Finally it go the Re_Amemiya Wide wheel arch body kit and non-pop up head lamps, but kept the Mazdaspeed wheels and bonnet.

All we need now is the F&F3 to come out and we'll see civics spilliting into Traffic poles everyday.

Lol!  That would be a sight to behold!  ;D

Which movie is coming out?  The live action one or the Stage 3 movie?
