I had a long conversation about the brats for 4 long hours on Rizon. -_- They make me feel like I'm being punished for something I haven't done.

I don't believe that for a second. This is clearly divine retribution for something you did do. :P
My mind is like a sieve. It retains all sorts of interesting bits and lets the important stuff flow straight through.

Hello  :D
since Live - evil brings the best anime classics I was wondering if you could sub Haikara-san ga Tooru I think it is one of the best anime out there but unfortunantely I only saw half of it since the other half was not broadcasted here in my country I don't know why  >:( >:(
any way I hope you consider it for your next project  :)

I was looking up some stuff on this series and it actually does look quite interesting Spirit. Since it's about the same age as Candy Candy though, I imagine it would be incredibly difficult to find a raw source for it. :'( That's a pity because it would definately be an interesting show I think.

Kaze to ki no Uta
« Reply #36 on: September 07, 2006, 03:46:44 pm »
Hi,

I am new member of Live-Evil and would like to say THANKS to Live-Evil for fan-subbing so many wonderful anime! I am a new addict to anime (just found this wonderful anime world) and am glad that so far I LOVE all animes subbed by Live-Evil.

Would like to ask if Live-Evil is going to sub Kaze to ki no Uta (manga)? Saw on other forums that Live-Evil is going to do so, but would like to seek confirmation.  I have watched the OVA subbed by Techno Girls and the first 2 volumes of manga by Obsession. But it seems they have stopped the translation for past one year.

It would be great if Live-Evil can sub the total collection of Kaze to ki no Uta. It is really a classic anime and the story is really heart-wrenching..

Yes on 2 conditions

a) Find good quality raws

and....(heres the stinker)

b) Find a translator willing to do it all the way to the end.

If you can do both then the chances are good we'll sub it if not then I'm afraid it's no :)

This is a powerful story, indeed... one of my favorites. It would have been nice if the anime OVA had covered more of the material. I'm proud to say that I still have my Techno-girls VHS tape. At some point I might remaster the audio for it. Some wonderful music in this anime! ;)

Finding raw manga for this one might be really tough... As I'm sure you are aware, it is very OLD. Aarinfanstasy is good at finding rare stuff. You might want to run this by them, if you haven't already.

Cheers,

And what other forums are you talking about? I'm sure non or the L-E members posted something about scanlating a manga, although a classic one, in any forums. Maybe someone said something about subbing OVAs, but since it's already subbed, no need for that.

City Hunter '99 TV Special
« Reply #41 on: September 09, 2006, 10:26:33 pm »
I was just wondering if you guys would be interested in subbing this.  The only version floating around is a really poor quality version from an old VHS fansubs with rather poor subs.  If you would be interested I would be able to provide video from the remastered R2 DVD.  That or if you happen to know any other groups that might be interested.  This is sadly the only thing City Hunter that never got licensed by ADV and I was hoping that maybe someone would be interested in doing a good quality fansub version of this.  Thanks.

Well, the first step is getting a translator. If you could get us one, we could think about it. Otherwise, I'm afraid the answer is negative. And we wouldn't really know if any other group was interested and didn't have the raws so try asuki or something for that.

Which is why I said I would provide the video from the R2 DVD.

You give us a translator = we sub it

You don't give us a translator = we don't sub it

Simple equation :)
