Yeah, it was licensed by the pig a few months ago, that's why l-e is the only group that releases it anymore.

by pig you mean a nameless corporate conglomerate?

No the pig whose own forum you can get to by following the link above. Read the FAQ.
And it is not abandoned as a fansub, not by live-evil at least, since the pig is the de-facto leader of live-evil. Just that no other fansub group will touch it anymore, out of fear of what the pig would do.
