Of course it is mixed in stereo (just checked it myself). Maybe there's something wrong with your audio setup?

Much more interesting would be if all the previous episodes will be re-released in widescreen? If not, then it doesn't make a lot sense to me to just swith after the first half of a series from 4:3 to a anamorphic source instead of just keeping the same resolution until the end.

If you must know...

#1- the DVD release schedule didn't catch up to us until recently (the DVD containing episodes 16-18 was released on June 25th).

#2- the original raws we had for episodes 16-17 were corrupted so I needed new raws anyway

#3- for the bulk of the first 15 eps we released, the show had yet to air in widescreen for those episodes so 4:3 was our only option.

#4- we have no plans to redo episodes 1-15. If we were going to redo anything, we'd redo season 2 from DVDs first. That being said, I have lots of other series to work on so I don't see it as a priority.

#5- of course it's in stereo :D

Thanks, so now I have to debug both my laptop and our home media server, both decided to playback mono for no apparent reason... grmbl

Younger-Sister already ordered the R2 DVD sets in Kobe. About the widescreen redo subject, how about releasing the unformatted basic subs separately once the series is done, or do you generally avoid that because of pirate dealers?
