I never thought i would be complaining about a fansub. You people do such a great service but in this case I wonder...why the hell did LIve Evil even bother? Your fansub of Gakuen Heaven was mean spirited, cruel, homophobic and hurtful.

As a young woman having been raised by two wonderful gay dads, I've had to put up with shit from small minded people for so long. I love BL because the relationships are so beautiful and it is the only thing I can watch with gay people in it that celebrates those types of relationships.

You realse a fansub....on bittorrent, without labeling it a joke...or without a warning about offensive language. I ask...why the fuck did you even bother?

Aids jokes, faggot jokes. What kind of small cocked idiot takes time out of his life (you probably have no life) to sub an entire 30 minutes of something he supposedly hates with ever fiber of his being?

The last place I want to hear faggot jokes and jokes about AIDS is in an anime. I downloaded the program to watch with friends only to be hurt and angry before the show was over.

It's not funny. Hatred is not funny. The only thing that is funny is me imaging you subtitling this anime with your pants down secretly jerking yourself off to it while pretending to hate it. WHY THE HELL WOULD A HOMOPHOBE SUB A BL ANIME?? It's like a straight guy going into a gay bar and picking up a guy only to convince him of how un-gay he is.

I expected more after the Rose Of Versailles and Death Note fansubs. I really did. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. You can laugh that you pissed someone off and feel good about yourself but this isn't pissing someone off for subtitling Oscar-Sama instead of Lady Oscar...this is about pissing someone off because you have attacked them and their family with your small minded and hateful rhetoric.

I bet you have a secret stash of Yaoi on your computer and you are so guilty about it the only way you can make yourself feel better is by insulting gay people to prove to yourself that you're not one. Go to hell. You suck. Fuck you.

Now..

It has been a long-standing tradition for fansub groups to release a joke or troll episode on April 1st in the sprit of April fools day.  This was an example of such a release.

Seriously. To label such a release, as “this is a joke” would defeat the purpose of tricking people in downloading a joke release would it not? Furthermore, torrents have dates OF release on them, and any such release on April 1st would naturally be suspect as a joke by most people I suspect.

You clearly miss the point here completely.
This was an April fool’s release.
Meaning that EVERYTHING in it was complete and total nonsense.
Crude?  Offensive? Perhaps… Went too far?  That is open to debate..
If you were offended, we are sorry.
But I guess there are clearly some out there who can’t take a joke…

FlamencoRenee, I'm sorry to hear that you were upset by this. I'm not even sure how you obtained it now considering it's been out of distribution for ages after it got licensed. We encourage you to buy the actual DVDs if you want to watch Gakuen Heaven.

1) It was released less than 24 hours after it aired in Japan - how often does Live-eviL do speed subs???
2) Live-eviL is not known for subbing Yaoi anime - except for Dear Boys back in the day
3) Neither Animesuki or Envirosphere listed it
4) It was a BT only relase
5) Didn't the OP song give you the slightest clue?

Despite that a lot of you still downloaded it.

The point is that this was poking a little fun at how SOOOOOOO zealous the Yaoi fan girls can be about their fandom and well a good majority of you fell right for it by not stopping to thinking about the circumstances in which it was released.

Like we've said before we apologise to those to whom it caused genuine offence and as I said above it was not intended to be harmful. Also as I said before not everyone will be happy when you release a troll sub.

We've done this before with Naruto and I'm sure we'll do it again with some other show.

Hmmm... I dont really get it. Shocking? Offensive? Watched that release when it came out, and I dare to say nobody would care much or even notice if this version would run on TV, maybe except for the jokes referrimg directly to AIDS, I understand if that is controversial. But if FlamencoRenee thinks your parody is offensive, I hope she *never* has to watch an entire evening of european prime time programming . Beeping/blurring out things or avoiding four letter words is generally unknown here, as for comedy, "normal" people, alternative lifestyles and minorities of every kind get mocked at equaly, mostly by themselves . And what about being gay or whatever? This aint the 70s anymore and nobody cares for your personal lifestyle today. Even the pope and Mr.Bush hugged the mayor of our capital city Berlin... 

I think this is more about fandom (or when its to much worship). May I say "Remember, this is fictional work"? And thats said by me, being a dorama/anime fan for about 20 years now, and who started that "career" with a lost youth being a trekkie...

We all KNOW how I felt when I heard we did Gakuen Heaven as a troll sub. I was ready to bitch everyone out. But, I gave it a chance anyway. Guess what? Both me and my partner Adam loved it and got loads of laughs. I really wanted to be mad at it, but it really was funny to us.

I'm a huge YAOI fan and have about every YAOI/BL title available (including a number of PC games). I will say that I did not find the parody to be too over the top. Yes, we were mocking the YAOI fandom... but I can take a joke. But... what goes around, comes around! I have 2 legit YAOI/BL titles I'm working on right now that will get special edition releases when completed. I intend to release these under the Live-eviL brand. And part of me has fun imagining their faces as I force them to work on them! These are not quite as tame as Gakuen Heaven.

So, don't worry... we are not a bunch of gay bashers/YAOI haters. Remember... Live-eviL was spawned from BakaMX, which brought us GRAVITATION! We also published a legit version of the translated script on Aarinfantasy's forum.

This group welcomed me openly, unlike some other groups out there... Other groups just teased me when I tried to join them. They really are cool people!

I'm truly sorry that you were offended by this. Where did you find the file? This isn't supposed to still be available as it is a licensed title and is available on DVD. If you know where it came from, please ask the person responsible to stop distributing it.
