What did people think of the anime Ayashi no Ceres?

Just wondering, as no one around me ever mentions it.

I never got around to watching it. Too much stuff to watch and so little time. But the series has long been out of print, so it's pretty pricey.

I remember liking it back in the day, but I honestly only remember bits and pieces. It was definitely a huge change of pace coming from the creator's previous work, Fushigi Yuugi, being much more serious and gory. Sorry I can't help more. :/

This show is very scarey and should not be watched by anyone.  We had to stop about halfway through because people were freaking out.  One guy soiled himself, a few more retreated into the corner and could be heard whimpering quietly.  The part where [spoiler], [spoiler], and [spoiler], it is just too much for a lot of people.
