Speaking of paws, scientists have tried for many years to determine visual acuity of small animals, with only limited success.

When tested, only a small portion of guinea pigs, bunnies, rats, mice, hamsters, or other domestic small animals could tell the difference between 240p and 320p video.  So honestly, anything above 480p is overkill.  The same is true for 10-bit color, most small animals have dichromatic vision, they can (at best) perceive two different colors like rabbits can tell the difference between green and blue but not much else.

Audio on the other hand is quite lacking, as 48000Hz sampling rate audio actually sounds quite horrible to small animals whose ears work to the upper limit of roughly 60000Hz (for many small animals like guinea pigs) to 90000Hz for a few such as rats.  My main recommendation would be to to use an audio sampling rate of at least 192KHz and preferably 256KHz rather than the paltry 48KHz that is standard today.

Yep, my computer and laptop can play 1080p files with ease. However, I usually watch stuff in 720p, since I'm not super picky.
