Disclaimer: This is in no way, shape, size, form, and etc meant to be a "Oh my god, look at me! I'm such a badass subber. I'm better than all of you and have leet interwebz fame and have a huge e-peen!" kind of thread. I just what honest opinions from honest, good old fansubbers.  8)

Anyway, I haven't created a new thread in these forums for quite some time now, so I decided to make a poll one. This one is for fansubbers only. In all honesty, how would you rate your fansubbing skills? I find this question rather interesting because you'll sometimes find rather intriguing responses. Plus, I get to pick your brains a bit, too.  :P Tell us which one you picked and why, please. Thanks.  :D

For me, I picked option #3: I'm pretty good, I suppose,  but always looking to make improvements. I chose this because I've been subbing for a while now, so I think I've honed my skill pretty well but not really well. Like with many things in life, there's always room for improvement.  ;)

I'm alright, but I still have a ways to go in some aspects of my repertoire; namely my editing and typesetting.

After about five years, I think I'm decent as a QCer, but I still have ways to go to master the English language from a phrasing perspective, never having lived in an English-speaking country.

I pay decent attention to details, though, which is a positive in the QC business  :D

Sindobook:
During the time, I imagine I was like the Cao Cao of the fansubbing world.  Or if you prefer Japanese history, someone like Nobunaga Oda.

Thanks to all who have responded so far. BTW, I noticed that someone voted on the poll but didn't post about their choice. Now, now, don't be shy and let us all hear your reason for choice.  ;)
