Mad Man's Rare Anime Request

(1/4) > >>

Touki:
Listen to my pathetic sad story... You all are anime fans, yet you do not realise that there are some anime that are disregarded and left unsubbed... they are not neccessarily bad, but as time passes by these anime become forgotten... It sad...that they are forgotten!

I loved anime since I was a child, I used to watch titles like Rose of Versialles and lady lady! It was my unfortunate luck that I wasn't able to keep or save these episodes for later viewing. I thought that I was not going to see Rose orf versialles again, until I found out that Live-Evil subbed it. I really GRATEFUL! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
You did a great job, I thought that this anime was gone for good! I spent a lot of time searching for the manga, and the anime. :D

Yet there are still some animes I still miss and want to see again like:

[*]iga no kaba maru[*] throbbing tonight or tokemeki tonght [*]Hana no lun lun[/list]

I'm not in any position to request. I'm just an anime fan.
I wish if you guys can sub these animes. I know it might be impossible...

I hope I'm not doing anything wrong by requesting. I am an anime fan, and you are a fan subbing community. If I did something wrong then please explain to me what is the role of a fan sub community? :-X Isn't is to provide anime for anime fans?

Sindobook:
Iga no Kabu Maru - No idea what it is.

Tokimeki 'Tonight' - The anime is a bit disjointed, bits and pieces of the manga from here-and-there.  Something like Creamy Mami or Rose of Versailles is quite coherent and continuos when it comes to story and story arcs.  The manga is better, and, there are better titles avaliable from the same author.  IMO if they would stick with Ranze as the main character it would be just fine.  Otherwise there is too much jumping around.

Hana no Lunlun - No raws, pre-Majoko Megu-chan...
If you are in Germany or Spain you probably saw a localization, a pretty bad localization at that.  Then the pre-80 style is just too different.  Many people would barely even recognize it as anime.

It's hard to get raws of the older animes, and even when they do exist it's hard to find people truly willing to work on them.  You can try to recruit more people, but then the people you recruit expect to work on the 'latest and greatest' popular current shounen title and leave or refuse to work on older titles that are ignored or ridiculed by most groups.

As for the role of the fansub community, there's many reasons, some just do it for 'the love' of doing it and if it happens to be useful to fans, that's nice too, but not the focus.  Sure there are pleanty who are in it just for the glory and status, but that has faded with so many groups out there.

And people who genuinely want to work on the older titles, come to the channel or post on the recruitment forum; we're set up to do pleanty of things more if we had people willing to do them.

Spymon:
I really wish someone would pick up atashinchi, I loved watching that show.

1010011:
atashinchi is sorta like doraemon, it's an incredibly old show with a thousand+ eps :P the 9 eps subbed were from a recent season, i dunno which. but hell ya, i'd love to see more eps from recently aired (within the past few years) atashinchi..........but the fact that only bakamx (and the part that split into oretachi) subbed it prolly indicates that it's not an easy series to sub, whether it be raws or difficult slang and cultural references to translate. but damn, i'd love whoever decided to sub it FOREVER <3

DeadAlready911:
9 episodes were subbed?  Do you happen to have ep 9 still on your hdd?  Atashinchi still remains a favorite of mine, even though I only watched 8 episodes of it.  I still bump the opening song in my jeep.
