I HAVE IMPORTANT NEWS CONCERNING THE SUBBING OF THIS SERIES:PLZ PAY ATTENTION!!!!!!111111
Okay, Basically, Tofu has said that he MAY be interested in being the main TL for this series. I want know what YOU the fans think of that. Basically the options are....
A)Wait for Tofu, give him a month or so....the series is very long, so theres no reason to rush it. Its best to get someone good early on than to keep switching.
B)Find some other poor TL, who may do a poor job on YOUR GE 999
C)Stick me with the Job. This has several KEY disadvantages:
1)Would Prevent me from spending alot of time on Harlock
2)Would prevent me from spending alot of time on Queen Millennia
3)Would Result in HK quality Subs. Seriously: I suck! You've seen my posts! Imagine the HORROR of that in subtitle form!!!!! :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

You know perfectly well what I think about Tofu's reliability at the minute. The fact he's not had any translated work released since Blood+ 02 in October speaks for itself =P.
Anyhow to add to the melting pot I have some semi interesting news. I did a bit of digging around about something that's been niggling me.
RZ Productions back in early 2000's it would appear was a VHS fansubbing group who worked on GE999 so I've tried firing off a few emails and see what I get back. You never know I might have 40+ skanky scripts for you to work through xD

Im going to fetch it right now.
Now if some manga publisher would translate the original comic series, then everything would be perfect. Recently I browsed few books of original GE999 manga and it seems really interesting. No hope i could ever learn to understand those kanjis though.
