Spymon:
So this is what happens when I don't post for a while. In England we still have the good old 1/4 pounder. Everything is odd here though. Half the stuff is measured in metric and the other imperial and it's as interchangable as anything.
greenkabbage:
yup the we're out of control! good to have you back though. and I wish the british system would finally die. i hate it i hate it i hate it. die british sytem!
crypticgimp:
sounds like how here in america the government has been saying we'll switch to the metric system. but they have been saying that since the 70s. but our way of measurement needs to go.
Spymon:
The people who fight for imperial are known as the metric martyrs. The pain. I wish I could understand those imperial measurements, but they are just so confusing.
greenkabbage:
yes, it's so much easier to work with a system based on 10's as opposed to 12's. I mean 10 * 10 is 100, 12 * 12 is 144. figuring the latter out is a little more complicated than simply adding a 0 to 10.
another good argument for switching to the metric system...
you can say: "hey look mine's 20 centimeters!" (as opposed to a measly 8 inches, I mean 20 is obviously more than 8!)
Of course I was talking about the size of the fish you just caught. what were YOU thinking? :o
