Today I actually won a prize and seeing how I rarely if ever win anything I'm very happy.

I won a nokia 3220 mobile phone.

The jist of this thread is what things have you won in competitions and how did it make you feel?

i won several gold medals in past competitions in wheelchair racing.  the real good feeling was winning the gold medal in the javelin and 400m race at the junior nationals in 2001

Only time I ever won a prize was in elementry school.   I was shocked and happy, to bad that was many many many many many many years ago. -_-

i won a badminton bag thru a raffle at a competition......parents won a tv before....LONG time ago..........does a free ticket for 647 count?

erm.......won a few medals in highschool competitions...those were nice I'll remember those for a long time.....*sigh* i miss highschool

The problem is that Nokia hasn't shipped any of the phones to the UK.  I should get it within a week of it shipping.

I won the wireless keyboard mouse duo combo from Logitech a few years back.  They were giving away like 3000 of them over so many hours.  

The problem is I don't think they realized someone would sit and hit reload when it said "You didn't win" at the top.  So without waiting for the rest of the page to reload I won 3 sets that way in about 25 minutes of hitting reload.   I gave 2 sets away to people who were trying as well but kept losing.  

I should feel bad that at my work place there were about 30 of us doing this same thing.  I believe we had almost 80 of the keyboards mouse combos before it was over.

Would that count as rigged?

i was just reminded of the beach towel i won from starbust (its HUGE and has starburst written on it with tons of fruit splashing) i won it when they wer ehaving some contest about a new flavour.  my cousin and i called in from a pay phone at the local movie theatre after we saw mulan (we were waiting for my mom to pick us up). for some reason they had some annoying pig as the mascot for the damn giveaway and on the phone he would talk to you and then it sounded liek the wheel from wheel of fortune was spinning.  we called like 5 times and gave false addys for our real ones but when i gave my real addy i won! it took about 3 months to get the thing (summer was over by then) but it was exciting and yeah what a long story.
