Any plans to continue releasing Galaxy Railways?  Its one of the better animes I've seen story-wise.  If not, any idea where it is being continued?

I'm pretty sure it is being worked on.  Really there is no need to ask if a project has been dropped as if/when it is then we will say.

Many projects get delayed/slowed down as the people working on them do not always have the same level of free time throughout the year.

I'm relieved to read that, because Galaxy Railways is so far the best anime Matsmuoto has ever done.
Probably, a lot of people are holding their breath, like me, to watch the last 6 episodes  ;)

Let me take this chance to also thank Live Evil and AnimeOne for bringing us such an awesome anime, and for doing such a good translation  ;D
Without you I would have waited ywars and years before seeing it in my country (Italy)  ::)

If you have the skills to get to this forum then you probably have the skills needed to import the dvds.

Of course I do... but the DVD imports, according to the news, will not be available until 2005  :-/

If I could have bought the DVDs next month I wouldn't have asked  :(

A big [censored] to the [censored] of Funanimation to license the series and not release the dvd before almost a enternity (before saw the last episodes will take years with this greedy corporation at the pace of 3 episodes per dvd, 4 if we're really lucky). At least for me I could always get a french fansubs (still not license in france), but the only english-speaking Matsumoto-fan have all my sympathy. PS Thankx Live-evil from bringing high quality fansubs series, unregard by most of group, I loved your releases of Rumic Theater, Mermaid Forest and Galaxy Railways and looking too for your next episodes of Galaxy Express 999.

Yep, let me point out that I'm grateful to live-evil for doing such a good fansub and letting me enjoy the first 20 episodes of galaxy railways.
I'm sick with that funanimation or how they call themselves for licensing now and releasing in 1+ years. The same happens in my country, where some anime is licensed and announced as "coming soon", then it disappears for several years (like Cosmo Warrior Zero).

Now I hope you'll want to do the new Galaxy Express series :)

Ah, another request, if I may ask it from the translator Tofu.

Let me point out that I quite agree with your policy not to release more fansubs once the anime is licensed in the US. Yet, since it is going to take ages before I could buy imported DVDs from US, I'd like to buy the series directly from Japan (no area code troubles, too, since also Europe is zone 2).
Alas, the japanese original DVDs won't have any subtitle...

Would you be so kind to write a txt file with the dialogue translation of the last 6 episodes, so it will be possible to understand what is going on? ^ __ ^'

Andrea.

L-E may have a policy of not subtitling licensed anime, but AnimeOne doesn't.  ;)

Ahah, well, let's hope in AnimeOne then ;)
I will buy the Japanese original DVDs, and while I wait for a local (italian) release I guess I'll stick with the subtitles if A-One really finishes the series... or I'll have to fall back to some french or spanish subtitled version  :-/

Thanks to Live Evil for bringing us the first 20 episodes  [smiley=biggrin.gif]

Well, you realize that the french and spanish versions are based on our english scripts. Those groups RARELY have anyone who can do translations directly from Japanese. This is why their translations are usually poor.

So I would not count on those continuing either.

Yes, I noticed. A real pity, I wonder how long I'll have to wait before I'm able to watch the end of the series. I'm going to buy the original japanese DVDs but won't watch the last episodes not to spoil the end before I'm able to understand what's going on [smiley=crying1.gif]

Thanks for letting me enjoy the fist 20 episodes several years before I would have been able without your fansubs  [smiley=smile.gif]

Wolf's Rain and now Galaxy Railroad.

Perhaps, the companies that are buying the rights are waiting and reading what the fans are saying before they buy the rights.  That way they know which ones are good.

They love waiting until the fansubbers already have started on them before buying the rights.  It is really ticky how it makes us fans have to stop the viewing until we get the copy righted versions.....

Search and you will find ;)
