IRC connection

i cannot connect to irc, can anyone tell me why? i have put in my desired nickname and suck and it continues to say connecting. i have cable and figured it would connect in less then ten minutes...

what's your client ?
are you using irc.enterthegame.com ? if it can't be resolved you can use irc.live-evil.org .
you should use xchat .
(some lazy guys use mirc ) .
If you can provide more info i guess we'll be able to help you .
