Well you can get God status pretty quick.  You need 3 steps.
1. Install Linux.
2. Run as root.
3. You are now God over that machine.

Of course I left out step 1.1 -bitching out the machine for taking 15 recomplies of the kernal.  and step 1.2 Finding only a driver written by someone who speaks spanish to run your wireless card.

and a whole host of other charming enchantments of installing something that is intentionally left to make lesser people feel intemidated.

or to bypass step 1 and all the fractional steps to step 2, you can put in a Knoppix CD.  It just works and any idiot can use it.

Again ROOT IS GOD.  So I think we should try to set "ROOT" for the highest level you can get for posting in here.
