I wonder if Hong Kong is gonna voice dub  in Cantonese for the movie, I mean if the main character is Jay Chou, its noticable that its gonna be in Mandirin.

most of the actors are honkie anyway.  they could probably dub over his voice

I thought they would use CG for the race scenes, but after looking at the trailer and macking of it. Good thing they didnt. oh well now we just wait

man  the web site for the initial D movie was good but the server was hecka slow.  I mean it took more than 30 min for me to buffer the trailer and it crashed at then end after seeing like 45 sec of it =( but it was a lil bit worth the watch.  Wat I didn't understand was how come the FC was chasin after the 86 and behind FC was the GTR.  Wasn't it suppose to be GTR chasing 86 and FC behind the 2 of those cars?  if yall wanna see the trailer, its www.initialdthemovie.com  
And to Hellbent, why wouldn't it be a good idea to put the CG in the movie?  I dont think it would be that bad and the trailer looked really good.  It might ruin the storyline or sumthin.  Speakin of which, IS THE WHOLE STORYLINE like from the beginning of Initial D or wat??

Remember no book/novel/manga to movie is ever true direct. Just look at LOTR (though it was close). Most likely it will be a close to the manga storyline, but not direct, word for word. and Goo, using CG for something like ID would take a hell of a long time to make it look real. Just look at "Two Fast Two Shitty", they used CG and it looked like crap. maybe Iam old school, but I love realism,

when you're in the forum, go to Jay News and there's a locked thread regarding Initial D.  There's a brand new trailer (not in the official site) plus a sneak peek at Jay's new song.

I'll probably just grab this in mandarin (usually released right away while it's airing in theatres in Mainland China).

i wouldn't think a fansub of the movie is necessary at all since there's gonna be English subtitles on the eventual DVD anyway.  when this gets released in Japan, I have a feeling that there will be a Japanese dub of this movie.  They have a japanese dub for everything released in Japan.

If you read on that initialdmovie site and check out the bios of the characters they tell a little about their version of the story line.

The first race is against the GTR, not against keisuke, so I guess that is why the GTR is trailing 3rd in the next race....

Wonder how much more they will change. Anyone thinking they can cramp 25 eps in 1.5 hour movie is crazy, they have to change the story, its ashame but if you can look beyond that fact, I'm pretty sure its going to be a nice movie;)

*edit* owh and yiuchi (gas station owner) is father of itsuki?!? Is that actually so in the manga?
