It's almost been a year and no episode 8.  I guess this project isn't being worked on anymore?  Oh and thanks for the speedy releases lately.  I have been really enjoying them.

We released ep. 8 two weeks ago, but there was a problem / accident and the release got lost in time.  Our pig was doing his thing, running in circles around Meimi, who was working on the Tsubasa release.  Unfortunately, the pig started to accelerate even faster, beyond his safe or rated circle speed.  He started sliding and then rolled over repeatedly.  This caused the hole in time to become erratic, expanding for a short period before disappearing altogether.  It took a while for the pig to restart, which resulted in the massive calamity of Tsubasa being released a minute and fourteen seconds late.  Also, the release of pelsia got captured by the hole in time when it expanded.  Sooner or later it will fall back out, and the release will be visible again.  In the meantime, all we can do is wait.

Rollover due to acceleration beyond the rated speed is a big problem, and we at live-evil are constantly refining and improving the all important alfalfa to timothy ratio of the pig's feed and hay in order to keep fansubbing a safe and productive process.

So I noticed this 2004 thread and then I noticed http://www.live-evil.org/current-past-dropped-projects/magical-fairy-persia but comments were closed so I found this cool thread.

It says it was dropped due to lack of available staff. This made me curious: did L-E have all the raws possible to do the series? Were they lacking subbers? Encoders? It made me think how cool it'd be if there was some kind of fansubbing social site where people could advertise their work and get picked up by groups needing people to do that work.

But anywho, I noticed another group sorta picked up the series:
http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/75.html

Apparently DOMO picked up where L-E left off at 7and did 8-19. Then apparently 25-28. Then apparently they quit because they're mercenaries and a fan didn't want to keep paying them. I actually haven't gotten to watch any of  this since nobody seeds torrents like these anymore, so I have to troll all the different botlists in hope I find one who might send it.

But anywho, it made me wonder if some day there would be a bad dude in L-E cool enough to do the 5 missing eps so that a 1-28 torrent could be created or something like that. That would only leave the last 20 eps for some other group to pick up.

This show is from 1984.

Unfortunately, the pig is no longer with us, he died a few years ago.  You can read about it in the 'except for the pig' forum on this site.  Without the pig, no further assistance can be provided on this matter.

I will say that clearing out the bears around Wolong is one of the few areas where Tuan Tuan and the others work in conjunction with the PLA.

From Tuan Tuan - "Other than that, I can't say we're on good terms with them (the PLA).  But many Pandas are more than willing to turn a blind eye to their general lack of morals and brutality when it comes to the battle against local predators in and around Wolong, primarily other bears.  Dangerous bears with sharp teeth and claws, carnivorous... predatory to the point of attacking nearly anything, Pandas included.  Prior to the grudging acceptance of the PLA, it was not uncommon to hear that another whole family of Pandas had met their deaths at the hands of  these predators.  In the past, Pandas had been able to protect their ancestral home by banding together and fighting them off, but as civilization expanded, many bears were forced farther west and into Wolong... it was simply too much for Pandas to handle by themselves."

From Ling Ling - "I know we're supposed to live in enlightened times, and we do.  But when it comes to those abominations who prey on Pandas, there's nothing like a good ol' fashioned Communist Death Squad to hunt them down and quicken their natural end.  Some Pandas complain about being awoken in the middle of the night by the sporadic fire of machine guns, or the crushing of bamboo as they march through the forest, but I must confess, it always gives me a warm, fuzzy feeling inside when I see the bloodied corpse of a [predatory bear] being carried off by soldiers to the garbage incinerator."

Perhaps one day, the pig will return.  But until then, it will have to wait.

And Mercenaries are rarely employed by bunnies, except when absolutely necessary.  The Black Bunny Brigade is a good example of this.

No, I know at first when Tofu went missing, it was around the time that the black pig appeared on the pigcam, and a rumor started that the black pig was actually Tofu and that he had been intentionally or mistakenly turned into a pig by one of the members of live-evil who was a practicing witch.  But that was just a rumor, no truth to it, really now.

I'm not messing with your heads, everything I said is true and verifiable.

You have to see the big picture, if you are fully certain of the meanings of words and phrases in your head, than you will probably miss that.
