Raven_03:
;D finally found that really works for free!!!!!!! i used google.. hehe kinda weird. i 4got the keyword but here's the trick.. only for windows platform.
1st of all download WinAvi. Its free. I think. If its not get a serial number using your p2p client and search for it.
2nd once you download it. convert your fan subbed anime to WMV
3rd open Windows Movie Maker
4th import file: (The CONVERTED VER. of your fan subbed) so it'll be name.wmv
5th open it and find where the part you want to take a pic.
6th pause that part and click the snapshot button located near the preview screen
7th choose where to save it and you're done.
here's the one i just got 3 mins. b4 i posted this:(not actual size)

Wow, people sure like to waste time, I always just pause it, And do Ctrl+I on Windows Media Player.

Sorry but that doesnt work on my wmplayer. Though it kinda waste a bit of your time, i can garantee you that it works for almost all windows platform. :P

Uh...using wmp, if you go to tools, then down to options and click the performance tab, then move the video acceleration to none, then you'll be able to take screen shots. It's like, so much easier. however, you can't go to full screen with it on, so you'd just have to crop in paint or whatever program you wanna use, and be sure to put the scrolly thing back to full afterwards.

Umm download virtualdubmod (google it). Open up the avi in virtualdubmod and find the right spot and then use video menu and "Copy output frame to clipboard". Paste in to paint and you're away.
For this to work you will need to have the standalone xvid codec installed.
