Sorry to bother, but I've got a little problem with the Eps 27 and 28 here..

The subtitles won't show up, regardless which option I choose.

Tried mplayer and Zoom player with latest CCCP

Thanks for watching our subs!

Please bear in mind that our Harlock is officially supported on Media Player Classic and The Core Media Player. MPlayer works if you switch to the unformatted subtitle track (J key). Other player software should work as well, but has not been tested. Nothing has changed in the settings for episodes 27 and 28. Are you still able to play earlier episodes?

It seems softsubs aren't working in general anymore.. gotta poke around what's causing this..

€: Ah, found it. Direct VobSub was installed with a videoediting tool and caused trouble. Thanks for the concern. Keep up the good work

Mplayer should work perfectly on the styled subs with the '-ass -embeddedfonts' options.
