Right, time to set some things straight. Firstly, everyone here should know that funimation now has the complete series 1-42 of Captain Harlock for free viewing with no region-lock. Crunchyroll still only has the first 40 episodes and is region-locked. In the coming weeks they (funimation) will be putting up GE999 as well. I have it on good authority it will be complete, english subbed, free to view, no region-lock. I think Live-Evil should change the message on their site to direct people to funimation, not crunchyroll. Thank you.

Not true about Funimation, it's region locked in the UK, at least now, it might not have been when Kaleyboy posted.
So glad you people finished your infinitely superior version before the licensing.

I'm sure some of you have heard/seen the announcement on the Anime News Network site that Discotek is going to release this series in a complete set in North America. I was both shocked and happy when I read it. Finally, the awesome Captain Harlock gets his well deserved official domestic home video release! I'm definitely going to buy this when it becomes available. Arcadia, lift off(Arcadia gou, hasshin!)! :)
