Using the RSS feed in Thunderbird?

I can't seem to get the RSS feed for the news page to work in Thunderbird.  It gets stuck at "Verifying the RSS feed".  I have no problems with other feeds that actually link to a .xml file, but yours doesn't seem to link directly to one.

Is there any way to get this to work?  A direct link to the .xml file perhaps?

Thank you for replying :)

The files linked to in that post work just fine in Thunderbird, but they are for the Forum's feed.  What I want is the feed for the news page, located here http://www.live-evil.org/rss

The only problem is that Thunderbird will not accept http://www.live-evil.org/rss as a valid feed since it is not linked to a file. :(
