« on: September 18, 2006, 04:36:22 am »
hi guys
i download rose of versaille anime but some epsoides not play
wnen i try to open them i get error ??? ??? ???
Con't locate video stream

can any body help me
thanks in advanced

Check your thing as Tsubasa said, it's probably the reason. Also, it could be that your player just doesn't have the codecs to play it. Maybe getting a new player, or upgrading the codecs might do the trick. Personally I recommend VLC and GOM Player.

These problems are generally caused by conflicting codecs. Happens when you install new players, watch from the internet, or have security settings way to lax and allow the pc to install what it pleases. Sometimes getting rid of all your codecs and installing a few specific ones solves the problem. I had a similar problem before, so I just un-installed the players and deleted the codecs. Re-installed the 4 specific players I now use (WMP 10, Winamp, VLC, GOM Player) and put some of their codecs and solved the problem.

Leeching & Technical Problems / Re: Short question about torrents.
« on: September 18, 2006, 04:27:15 am »
Recently, I had a HD going out on me, so I've had to redownload a few shows again. In LE's case, that meant Galaxy Express 999. (And probably Snow Queen for later.) The GE999 episodes (6-11) have downloaded fine, but, for some reason, right after the download, the BitTornado connect icon would go red. While this isn't really doing ME any harm, I usually like to at the very least even out the download/upload on torrents I run. (I don't want to be a COMPLETE leecher or anything.)

While I realize you should take the seeds/download info on the torrent page with a pinch of salt, most of the torrents there has shown SOME people downloading them too, so it shouldn't be that there's noone downloading.

Can anyone shed some light on this mystery?

A possible reason is that people can't connect to you due to the internet defaults in different regions. That's why P2P sharing networks have multiple network (not only cause of language) but also because it's difficult for say someone in country A to connect to someone in country B. So that's one possible reason, another is that your security settings/firewall is preventing people from connecting to you, which is normal, given that they are designed to protect your pc from external threats. If you want to even it out, check your secutiry settings, they're probably the main reason.

Can any one please till me why we have that much codecs please? First of all Divx was amazing then somebody came up with Xvid!!!!! I don’t know what dose it have more than the Dvix. Then we had the OGM witch gave u almost DVD quality with all the subs and audio tracks and it was fine. and lately we have that matroska thing that when ever I try to install it conflicts with the other codecs and layers !!!!!!!. and made me reinstall them again. And do not let me talk about the packs witch make the things worst instead of the opposite.

My Question is WHY? OR HOW can I solve this codecs problem thing OR WHEN can I live happily ever after with my PC and codecs?

It depends on your player. Some players require alot of codecs because they don't come intergrated. The reason there's so many codecs is because information nowadays comes from many parts of the world, and each has a small difference in the sound or image, etc... so the codec is to turn the signals back into a common digital image and/or sound. That's why I don't use Windows Media Player to watch anime for instance, WMP has so many codecs to download, that it has conflicts quite alot, and crashes alot  :-\. Other players now however come with alot of intergrated codecs within. I recommend the same as Mikala said, use VLC, it's pretty good, and it generally updates by itself, it comes with alot of intergrated codecs. Another pretty good player is GOM player. So just to keep yourself 'happily' as you said  :P get one of these other players that don't require too much update, VLC, GOM Player or others. Hope it helps  ;)

I agree with you on some points as far as censorship goes, but in this case, I don't think it's as much about trying to unjustly keep group members from their right to free speech as it is about try to curb needlessly excessive, nagative posts that serve no particular constructive purpose.

Yes people should have a right to say what is on their mind, and I wouldn't want to be a part of group that tried to force me not to, but at a certain point when it becomes less about appropriately voicing a concern or opinion, and more about just ripping people apart and causing controversy, enough is enough, and it really should be dealt with.

It is perfectly possible for someone to voice whatever opinions they have in a tactful an professional manner. And I think what people are really upset about here is not the voicing of opinions, but the balatant disregard for decorum and common courtesy towards others when doing so.

True, it's important that each person knows how to maintain his/her personal views and judgements of others under control. Having your own personal opinion is great, where you have your own ideas, interpretations, etc... However, it's wrong to abuse of your liberty of personal opinion.

If a person cannot act accordingly, and express their views in a coherent and professional manner rather than blast out, it signifies their lack of ability to manipulate language and communication with other people.

screw that :)

Anyone.. ignore all that crap...
just post whatever.. whenever :)

Dude, is it really that hard to keep some order in an online forum? Obviously not. So just follow the rules (which is simple and few) and refrain from posting unecessary and negative/insulting posts.

Oh yeah, play the banning game with me if you want. But to play the banning game with your dear Momo-chan, no requirements necessary to apply. Just come to the channel, and do something stupid and you're in.   :P

It's kinda difficult to say which thread you like most isn't it? Yeah I'm new so I probably don't have much say in this, but I find the poll threads or the threads were anime projects is being discussed quite interesting  :)

Well, went to the mIRC site, got no answer. However, I'm interested in becoming a QC staff to help. I don't mind what anime it be, and I'm currently pretty flexible with my time, got good internet connection, and very good english. If I can help please just e-mail me to maxnus_cool@yahoo.com.

I voted for Tsubasa Chronicle Season 2. I found TC a great anime, it's one of those few anime that quickly caught my attention and I really enjoyed early on. Many other anime (which are still very good) take time to like, or you need a bit of patience before you get attached to it, but TC was one of those few that hooks you up real quick  :)  It's got a good story line, character development and pretty good quality, not to mention the great quality of the fan subbing.....THANK YOU VERY MUCH ALL YOU STAFF THAT WORKED SO HARD ON IT!  ;D It's people like you that allow us non-Japanese speakers or others to really enjoy anime, so thanks again! I hope that this project can be revived, but understandably many things come before that, such as each person's personal life or difficulties, nevertheless thank you very much for your dedication on it.
