I agree. Vash, I hate to pick on you since you seem to be generally a nice guy, but what you are saying, and what you are doing seem to be 2 different things sometimes. You claim you would like everyone to quit this childish behavior and try to be more unified, but how does congratulating Masakari for making a post that slams Tsubasa further that wish?

Again, this is not intended to pick on you, just meant to point out the inconsistency issue.

And to everyone, we all have stuff we could work on, all of us. And ripping each other apart is not accomplishing anything except creating division in the group. Is that what everyone really wants? Please think about it.

It would be really lovely if the specifics of the new karma feature could be explained in detail so that everyone knows how it all works and whats going on. I've gotten a bunch of questions about it, so maybe just explaining all of the details about it for the sake of clarity would be a good idea.  Also, is there really a way you can tell who gave you good or bad karma?

I believe it is the plan to do a big batch torrent once all of the episodes are out. Currently we are being a little bit held up by a staff member that has been MIA for awhile. We are anxiously awaiting his return so that we can proceed with releasing the last 3 episodes in the series

Before you rant about the names being incorrect please do some research.  Light is his actual name, and yes it would be pronounced raito and written in katakana.  However, the kanji that you see in the series is a kanji that has one meaning of light.  The subbers are correct in using Light as his name.  The same goes for Ryuk.  Ryuk is what his name was intended to be, but because of the nature of the Japanese language it is pronounced and written in Japanese as ryuku.

Also, you might want to go to www.jisho.org and search for akari.  The one you are looking for is probably the third one down.  Meaning lamplight, light (in general), and brightness.  So Light's name might also be a play on how he is the brightest student in Japan.  Which is quite a crafty thing that the creators of the manga have done.

i dunno why noone noticed this yet but for 5 ep. allready (dunno 4 sure bout the fifth cuz i didn't c it yet) u have called Ryuku Ryuk & the worst u've been calling Raito Light ... where does that come from? because raito is the word made by borrowing light from english? ... if it was so then it should have been written in katakana but as u can c in the third ep. (i think that was it) when u get 2 c Raito through Ruku's eyez u c his name written in KANJI & that is only posible with japanese names only ... now i'm not here 2 criticise bcuz i read the manga & it's just 2 great but just seeing Ryuk & Light in every ep. is gettin kind of annoyin' ... i wouldn't want 2 get 2 the last episodes 2 c u still call Raito Light  ... aanyhow @ least consider this post  .. uz i'm still gonna watch the series but Light just sounds so eeew >_<  ... aanyhow the rest is up 2 u  ... ja na

I just don't want Ray to get killed...  He's such a nice guy so far, and wasn't Light's initial goal to make the world a better place by killing only the bad people? If he kills Ray, he's totally breaking his own rules.

Well Masa will sure be mad if we get someone additional to work on QM. I am not sure the QM t/l would even like that. Then hell will freeze if we get another one on SSX. Harlock doesn't need one and we got two t/ls for GE999 already. So I guess a t/l check for helping around like for example when suz finds missing lines in one of the scripts is the best.

I know a lot of people are willing to t/l check but not t/l because t/ling, trust me, is a lot of work when you haven't got the manga, especially if your audio is crappy and such. T/l checking a script can be painful (talk about Mami, GE999) but more people tend to come in that way.

If you read carefully Tsubasa, I was not requesting a tl for QM specifically, I was making a general request for additional TL help with Matsumoto stuff. Masa does a great job, but its gotta be pretty taxing trying to do all of the TL stuff for most of the series we do.

I posted this request on all Matsumoto division show threads (with the approval of Yaoi might I add) just in case it brought in someone who was interested in Matsumoto stuff, since apparently that has been one of the main reasons why there was no luck getting additional TLing help in the past.  At any rate, if you have a problem with any of this or feel you need to discuss it with someone, or wish to be apprised of the current situation and TL/TL checker needs, talk to Yaoi, otherwise us having this debate about it kind of takes away from the actual request for help, so lets limit any further discussion on this matter (if necessary) to PM's or IRC ok? Thanks!

Actually more like we do have the t/ls but they are either a complete ass or aren't much active in the sense of availability on IRC. So basically someone who has the time and energy to be around and help with t/l checking even shall be fine, don't you think?

Helpful yes, but not as useful as another tl would be, especially since we have at least 1 series in need of fullscale tling and not just checking, I mean poor masa if he has to do full tl for 2 series plus tl check for another, especially if we want to release all of them at a decent rate, but any help we could get be it full tl or tl checking would be much appreciated

I agree! It would be an unnecessary and stupid move to kill Ray at this point.  It would actually have the reverse effect of bringing suspicion onto Light. I mean he already basically has a "pass" from Ray, so it would be unfathomably stupid of Light to kill him at this point. If he keeps doing super stupid stuff like this I don't know how they can make this series 37 episodes, I'd expect L to catch him within like the first 10!

um, i know it's rude to ask about status, but i m only asking becuz i know the project had already stalled once, so....

is the project stalled again? can i hope for more eps in the near/not so near future?

It is not stalled. It has all the necessary staff and raws and such. Right now the issue is just the fact that everyone working on it has very busy lives, so stuff will be going slowly right now.  But episodes 8 and 9 are being worked on at the moment, so please be patient with us. We will get them released as soon as we can.
