Yes, as the topic says, if you feel you were banned from the forums in error, or for an invalid reason, this is where you can tell us about it. But if you are going to complain, please make sure you have already read the IRC rules thread, and are 100% sure you were not banned for a good reason.

As I suspected at once this thread was opened I was going to be the first to use it :P
Bastard-sama the grim, banned me again. This time for the following line:

I was refering to him. And all though this may be concidered a spiteful remark I hardly think it's enough to ban.
Also it was a reply to the following line:
(05:42:44) (@bobby6|LLE|away) bastard-sama should feel really special, we had to make a whole new thread just because of him lol ;)
So it was a part of an ongoing conversation, and bastard-sama was not apart of that conversation.
Even though an OP is allmighty and his ban should be respected, I feel that it was absolutely unnecesary, if he was uncomfertable with the remark. Simply saying so in either PM or with a kick would prevent any such action to happen again. But when OPs have so diffrent ways of practising the rules it really is kinda hard to keep a friendly and open tone in the channel.
I guess I could have solved this issue by simply talking to one of the ops directly, but wanted to put this thread to good use and went the issue.

I was banned for talking about sex which is not against any rule in the set of rules posted by tsubasa

Talking about sex is not prohibited cause everyone does it.
I guess the reason why you were banned was the caps you were using constantly while talking about it....which annoyed an @ and hence you were banned.

oops sorry mikala. since i was just attached to the server and not to any channel i didn't know if the pm's were being received. i assumed incorrectly that you were not receiving the pm's since i had no reply to them on my end. no harm or spamming intended.

I removed the ban, but please don't make any issues with licensed anime in the future. Groups have been kicked off of ETG for it before, so we have to police ourselves! :)

Your problem is the .br country code. It looks like someone, probably ETG itself, has banned Brazilian ISPs (and they're not the only network to have done so). I think one of the ops can actually make an exception, but you'll have to wait until one of them reads this (and that's assuming I've got this right).

I appear to be banned. I did not violate any of the rules in the IRC rules thread. I believe the last time I was in channel I was AFK for some time. Sometimes I have bad connectivity to EnterTheGame which causes repeated disconnects and connects of mIRC. Is this why my address got banned?

I've got a similar issue. The way I've fixed it is I spam a timer in a random chan... so mine looks like:
/timer1 100000 5 /me wrote a timer to save from d/cs.
It repeats 100000 times every 5 seconds... that way it never actually idles and should save you from the d/c problem.

I think I have had the same IP since the last time I was in channel. My router is always on so my IP doesn't change very often unless there is a power outage or Comcast does maintenance.

Not sure if this thread is even looked at, considering the last time there was a post here, but...
I got banned, although I think it wasn't me specifically, but the .br's again for some reason. A few days ago (a week or so) I joined the channel just fine. If the open ban on .br adds won't be removed, is it possible to get included in the exception list or something?

I haven't been to the channel in over a week, since I downloaded a few eps of Rose of Versailles, how can you claim >I< haven't been banned for no reason? Or better, tell me what did >I< (not someone from the same country as me or whatever) did to get banned. Since you say I haven't been "wrongly banned", you must have some sort of proof I broke channel rules repeatedly or something.

The only time I ever was banned was for doing a !list or @find in the wrong window... a 5 mins ban and nothing else.
What about this so-called "proof" anyways? 3 posts and not a single exibit?
