Current & Future L-E Projects / Re: Magical Fairy Persia
« on: March 18, 2012, 02:15:43 am »

So I noticed this 2004 thread and then I noticed http://www.live-evil.org/current-past-dropped-projects/magical-fairy-persia but comments were closed so I found this cool thread.

It says it was dropped due to lack of available staff. This made me curious: did L-E have all the raws possible to do the series? Were they lacking subbers? Encoders? It made me think how cool it'd be if there was some kind of fansubbing social site where people could advertise their work and get picked up by groups needing people to do that work.

But anywho, I noticed another group sorta picked up the series:
http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/75.html

Apparently DOMO picked up where L-E left off at 7and did 8-19. Then apparently 25-28. Then apparently they quit because they're mercenaries and a fan didn't want to keep paying them. I actually haven't gotten to watch any of  this since nobody seeds torrents like these anymore, so I have to troll all the different botlists in hope I find one who might send it.

But anywho, it made me wonder if some day there would be a bad dude in L-E cool enough to do the 5 missing eps so that a 1-28 torrent could be created or something like that. That would only leave the last 20 eps for some other group to pick up.

This show is from 1984.

Leeching & Technical Problems / Did L-E do Macross - Do You Remember Love?
« on: December 19, 2010, 06:11:34 am »
aka Chou Jikyuu Yousai Macross: Ai Oboete Imasuka
aka Clash of the Bionoids

http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/418.html

It lists that L-E worked on this with FreeLance Fansubs in February 2, 2009.

I am curious since I did not see this project listed in L-E's records. I would like to watch this movie and I have more trust in L-E than Newlife which I have not heard of and it is older.

The problem is that it links to http://freelancefansubs.fansub-torrents.com/ and that tracker is completely empty so I do not know how to find it. It should be 1202.9 Mb.

Edit: Oh wait, I found it at http://live-evil.fansub-torrents.com/#Uncategorized It seems whoever linked to it on AnimeSuki messed up. I wish I knew how to report the mistake =( Still doesn't seem to be listed under projects though, perhaps because it's a single movie it got slipped through the cracks?

I am really interested in watching everything related to this, be it Macross, Robotech, or the other original "Super Dimension" series which were made into the later Robotech series.

As far as I can tell, ADV films has the rights to the original SDF Macross and some people can watch it on Hulu though I think you need to live in the United States to watch them.

Edit2: It seems the same mistake was made in linking to FLF on AS for Flashback 2012, also in same Uncat as above, direct link is also:

http://live-evil.fansub-torrents.com/%5BFLF_%26_L-E%5D_Macross_-_Do_You_Remember_Love_%5B5A494D81%5D.mkv.torrent
http://live-evil.fansub-torrents.com/%5BA-C_%26_FLF_%26_L-E%5D_Macross_Flashback_2012_%5B5DDD3CF8%5D.mkv.torrent

Apparently this takes place as a substitute interpretation (alternate reality?) of episodes 2-27 of SDF Macross TV. Does this mean we should find and watch the first episode before watching these 2 movies? Does it mean once we watch them we should skip ahead to watch episodes 28-36 of the series?

Also I am wondering, has "Lovers Again" or "Macross Plus" been done by anyone? I can see that Macross 7 is out at http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/166.html but these two came before. I think Plus is probably important since it comes before 7 in chronology whereas LA is set far in the future and a sequel to the movie alt timeline.

Then there is:
Dynamite 7 http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/458.html
Zero http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/16.html
Frontier http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/1147.html

Um... Fufonfia? http://www.animesuki.com/series.php/1276.html lol

I was going through series done by Misc since they had a lot of old stuff and noticed when I checked that you guys recently picked it up, that's awesome. I'm going to see how far you guys go with it and if it's dropped or something then probably try the old ones :)

Leeching & Technical Problems / Re: Rose of Versailles patch
« on: July 27, 2009, 03:08:43 am »
I was wondering, do we need to patch this if we are getting RoV now, or is it fixed and the patch is needed for people who had the old version of the batch?

Also, someone batched your release of RoV with some old releases of Dear Brother in a Riyoko Idea collection. What I was wondering was: if I was using this, would I still be able to connect to people who are seeding the stand-alone "[Live-eviL] Rose of Versailles 1-40 (COMPLETE)" file which is seeded on ScaryWater?

I just figured it might make more sense to download both at once. I did find a stand-alone Dear Brother torrent, but I figured it would go really slowly. Actually it might just be better to do them separately, or like, if they could be merged, not sure.

I am downloading this now! I saw it on DB when I went to check Bleach/Ghost, that is great you guys are working together on this! I loved your last project working together on Kaze to Ki no Uta, and was really looking forward to this! I am going to tell my friends and stuff.

I lol'd at the .mkv comments, I was apprehensive about that format when I first heard of it but now I prefer the quality.
