Leeching & Technical Problems / Translators for Magical Fairy Persia

There are only 7 episodes released so far!

If you or someone else can provide us a decent translator, we can probably fix that. 

We haven't been hunting too hard for a translator at the moment because most of the staff who care the most about Ask Dr. Rin! are currently busy finishing off the Creamy Mami series, reviving the Ask Dr. Rin! series and (for a new group) starting on Idol Densetsu Eriko.

But Gumbaloon really wants to get this project started again. I have some vague memory of him mentioning a month or two ago that we might have a new translator starting on this in February, i.e. some time around now.

But don't let this rumour stop you from finding us another translator.

(Note: A few hours after I posted this I found the reference. The potential translator is for Creamy Mami OVAs. Persia is still on hold waiting for a translator.)

Oh, I think I've died and gone to anime heaven.

So many titles that there I've only heard about or I've only seen the first few translated episodes. Galen, I am definately going to keep this post in mind. And thank you so much for your help in the past.

I think we can be a little more specific. One of the key people working on Ask Dr. Rin! got a paid contract three weeks ago and will be a tad busy for a while. How long was not specified.

Imagine that! Thinking that paid work comes before fan-subbing. 

Seriously, Gum is right. This project is in far better shape than before. If it stays stalled, we will eventually look into getting alternate people to fill in.

Since we are pretty qc heavy now,

And isn't that a pleasant change? For a while last year it was quite common to have something sit in QC for a week untouched. And when it was touched it was because some of our busiest staff postponed other work in order to do it.

I am so glad that so many people have volunteered to help out in QC these days. And even happier that some of them started to learn other positions too. Trust me, you really are appreciated.

The problem is with the scarywater tracker. This tracker is run by another group. Many fan-sub groups including Live-eviL use this tracker to distribute their fansubs via BitTorrent.

ScaryWater has problems now and then in reporting the number of seeds and leechers. The tracker may be completely or partially down at times.

We noticed last night that ScaryWater was only partially working. The number of seeds and leachers was not being updated. Scarywater was not connecting seeds and leachers to each other so only clients that support dht was working.

In other words, the problem is quite clearly not at your end. 

Our best guess is that your problem is a temporary problem and that it will be fixed "real soon now". If it hasn't been fixed in the next few days to a week, let us know and we'll look into contacting ScaryWater for more info.

Yes, I saw. Actually, a lot of people have downloaded All In. I upload about two copies per week of each episode. Fortunately, Media Player Classic will play incomplete files so people can still watch it.

And thanks for posting. It gave me a chance to confirm that I will get an email whenever someone posts in this thread. I've also asked to be notified if a new thread is created here.

Hello fellow anime fans.

Do you need a torrent from the Live-eviL torrent page at http://a.scarywater.net/live-evil/ re-seeded? I have all of them, barring the ones listed below, and will seed them upon request. (PM me or post a message here.)

I also have some of the older files whose torrents were deleted from our torrent page, including some Oppai releases. Feel free to inquire.

Live-eviL has lost all copies to some of our older releases. (I'm hoping to make up and post a list here some day.) If you have any unlicensed Live-eviL releases that are no longer in the torrent list then please let me know.

If you happen to have one of the following, could you re-seed it or get it to me somehow? These torrents have been unseeded for years.

YaoiBoy just got the batch for episodes for 11-15 up.

My computer's back up (my power supply failed last month) so I am back to reseeding all (well, all but 7) of the unseeded L-E torrents. Although it may take a while for any one torrent to be properly serviced as I nurse maid several hundred torrents, of which about 50 to 100 are unseeded at any given time.
