It's pretty clear that the characters wouldn't refer Maetel/Promethium the same way you do with Aibo  ;) The use sama as an honorific to denote respect, not mechanization or whatnots  ::) Misunderstanding on that part or what?

A mechanization doesn't have a gender, a computer or a robot is neither male or female, hence it should not be addressed as 'lord' or 'lady' no matter how much it is respected.

There is just too much variability on the subject for this reason, www.paranoia-live.net (absolutely no relation to live-evil) is a good example, despite its greatness the computer it is never addressed as 'lord' or 'lady', yet the computer is irrefutable and perfect in every respect.  It is simply addressed as 'friend computer' or FC for short.  Only a 'bot with a personality module would refer to another 'bot using mi'lord or mi'lady, and our release is aimed at humans, not 'bots.  There aren't really any circumstances where a human would refer to a 'bot as mi'lord or mi'lady, even if the bot had a personality module that was male or female.

English and Spanish are close enough such that a 1:1 line translation would be possible.

What we frown on is just giving scripts away, since in the past people that have planned on abusing our scripts have asked for them, then thrown tantrums when we refused to give them away (see previous threads on this topic).  But if someone who can be trusted and is competent enough to make a translation of the scripts were to volunteer, the proposition would probably be accepted.  Once the scripts are translated we can re-run those scripts with minimal effort, that alone is a very simple thing to do.

605
We generally don't try to adapt the translation to the particular show to the universe, just translate what is said.

[spoiler alert??? don't know but best to be safe]

People watching know what the suffixes mean, we don't need to transliterate it... generally people do not walk around calling mechanizations 'lady', if you had a real living pet you might refer to it as 'lady' but if you had one of those Aibo or other mechanical pet or toy, it is sexless, calling it 'lady' would be disfunction on your part.

Solid state may be inherently more reliable than the older mechanical systems, but cost reduction and further miniaturization often hurts reliability... systems are made to last between 60,000 - 100,000 miles and will fail (vibration, voltage spikes, etc.) shortly after that.  You many not hear about those failures because for most owners, 60,000 miles is the end of the car's life and time to get a new car.

And most of the rest of the message just complements what I am saying.  The performance, by just about any criterion, of both vehicles sold to the common person and vehicles sold to enthusiasts has gone down, not up.  Even the occasional engine 'upgrade' is more than offset by weight increases and other performance hindarences.  The only real and measurable improvements to vehicles in modern-day has been up-to-date styling and higher profit margins.

That was not my attention in the slightest.

I was just curious.

A Mazda Protege5 is not a "status symbol" car, it's a 4 cylinder Station wagon for cripes sake...

although it does handle very, very well. ;D

You can say that now but one week from now you will look at this thread say 'oh no look what I started.'

I honestly don't see how a FWD car can 'handle well', I have driven my share of rentals (business trips) and I am yet to come across anything FWD where you didn't have to struggle to get it to corner well.  The honda civic (2001) was the only thing I found that could turn and even that was below average, modern cars are second rate, they are nothing but a bunch of performance compromises to keep the manufacturing cost down and the styling 'looking good'.   Performance and handling are things of the past, now the big push is for styling, image, 'the look', things that drive the weight up and the handling / performance down, yawn.

I don't, I can't even drive! :o

They just want to start this thread so they can brag about their overpriced, expensive status symbols, what pieces of junk modern cars are.  I have a pig (cavy) that gets from point A to point B faster than most autos today, esp. when you consider traffic.  Seriously vehicles today the big thing is designs and styling, not functionality, reliability, driveability.  People look at a car and they say 'ooh that looks nice I want it' but in reality the piece of crap.  Anything you'd drive off a lot today has barely any power, front wheel drive, handles poorly around the corners, poor traction, a glut of 'features' you will never really use, unreliable (no redundant systems or backup embedded computer), high center-of-gravity, poor visibility, uses plastic (not steel), and weighs half a ton more than it should.  The worst part about the reliability is that modern cars have an embedded computer (PC-104 or other single-board computer) and if that fails your car is hosed (be ready to pay $10,000. to the manufacturer to replace a $300. PC board).

i was wondering if you guys could consider subbing this series due for release next month.

http://www.tv-tokyo.co.jp/anime/bleach/

Lackluster art, predictable, ignoreable plot, not notable in any way.  Just another 'dime a dozen' formula show, why does one even bother to ask...

i don't understand, yes or not, exchange with another series?my group have many series very rare with resolution very high.

If you want exchange, we exchange persian magical fairey for 6000 bar of soap.  You may ship soap, but mandatory you pick up fairey in person.  Proper care for fairey must be explain.  Illegal to ship fairey, fairey very fragile and need special care.  Fairey probably die in shipment.  No good ship fairey.

no subtitles.
could help me to need this, I can exchange with Kotetsu Jeeg quality laserdisk 640x480
thank's

Helo Sukarambo.
You have soap?  We need soap.  Lot of soap.  The other day, pet pig Piiki, he find the sooper-secret storage of soap we use for Pelsia, Mami, and chew it up.  Piiki like to chew, he that way.  Now we out of soap and it is problem.  Big, big problem.  We not able to continue as group without soap.  You send we 6000 bar of soap.  Quality name-brand soap like 'ivory' or 'irish spring' or 'dove'.  Not small bar like they have in hotel or for freebie give away.  Our pet deserve only the best.  Must be real genuine soap.  You send soap first.  Then we send you a magical fairey as you request.  Magical fairey very pretty but very very rare.  Unlike pig cat or dog fairy do not handle well as pet and even though very pretty they are not popular as pet for reason.  Fairey can be very dangerous if mistreat or make unhappy by owner and we not take responsibility if bad thing happen because fairey.  Fairey can injure or kill you, we not responsible for this.  You understand?

Here's another one, some group 'FoT' just put out ep. 1 of Ojamajo Doremi.

Like Magical Emi it is a true Mahoushoujo (magical girl) storey -- it doesn't involve trying to save the world or some bogus plot like that, it has a real plot and character designs may be a bit too recent ('digimon'-ish) but it's cool nonetheless.  Hope it's not another one of those orphaned releases of 1-2 episodes by an unknown group, at least.

At one time Ojamajo Doremi was licensed by some hack-job company who was going to release it to TV dub-only, but that must've fallen through, heard that years ago and still have no seen no real sign of that.

L-E  doesnt sub this show

Not officially, at least.

Magical Emi is the third of the great studio pierrot mahoushoujo shows.

Creamy Mami,
Magical Fairy Pelsia,
Magical Emi,
Pastel Yumi.

Sadly, most groups give up after subbing one or two episodes of a not-popular-enough series.

Can I post this message here? After CREAMY MAMI and after PERSIA, now it's the moment of MAGICAL EMI! THANK YOU again to LIVE-EVIL and thank you to "Miyuki no Tamari" group, too!!! [You can find the 1st episode of MAGICAL EMI on ANIMESUKI!] BYE-BYE

Yeah I tried that, a bit overfiltered though, perceptual resolution is something like 240x180; try to help, if they're receptive that is.  Look especially at the character's eyes and fine facial details.  Studio Pierrot has some really fine details, Mami was upped to 640x480 and if you watch it I'm sure you can understand why.  For Emi look around 11:35, modern animes just don't have this detail but for the older ones do so it's important to keep the perceptual resolution high.
