Subject: AnimEigo: Yawara Season 1 now available for preorder!

Digitizing VHS is done with hardware, actually, using a class of devices called "video capture equipment". (Lots of places sell devices for converting home videos to DVD, but commercial tapes have protection to prevent such copying with home equipment.) It's been many years since I last needed to convert a VHS tape to DVD, so I've forgotten exactly how it used to be done.

There has never been a DVD release. AFAIK, the  VHS release is the only source available. (And rather tempting, at only $200.)

Shounan Bakusozoku (1986 - DVD)
was released by AnimEigo as Bomber Bikers of Shonan.
There is no need to fansub it.

Oops. I also have Idol Defense Force Hummingbirds on R2 DVD.

And Vampiyan Kids; Chibi-Goku might have a line on a translator for that. (I haven't talked to him about it.)

I also have some series like Ghost Sweeper Mikami and Cutey Honey that other groups are already doing. And Magical Emi. And Goldfish Warning. Ultimate Girls. The Second Box of Cosmic Baton Girl Comet.

I have Princess Knight, but it is ironically still licensed.

The requirement for any new project is a high quality raw source and a translator. You're seeing a bunch of TV series because that's what the Japanese are releasing on DVD.

I really wish someone would pick up atashinchi, I loved watching that show.
Funimation is issuing cease and desist orders for it, so I doubt anyone will.

I don't have Dr. Rin but have now ordered Box 1 (CD Japan); I'll get box 2 later. Once it arrives, how do I get the data to the encoder? (My upload speed is about 50 MB per hour. 25 GB of data is therefore a 500 hour upload.)

People do move, but since I can't contact him and don't have an address that works, there don't seem to be any options for working with him.
