First, congratulations on such a good release... I've watched all 24 episodes, and they're really great, but now, I'm dying to see the next 16, because, well, other groups releases... just suck! :P
Any idea on when the next release will be, and what's currently holding it up?
(btw, sorry if I can't make myself clear sometimes... english is not my native language)
Hahahaha! Nice! I want one of those...[smiley=biggrin.gif]
The other group's releases are a disaster, a perfect example of what happens when you try to release without a pig.

Our pig, Piiki, is working full-time now, ever since he replaced Bun-bun, our bunny. But he has many projects to work on, and our supply of carrots, hay, and pellets is running dangerously low. Since we have been unable to secure a second-source provider of carrots and need to make it through the long winter, the delays in releasing our projects are sometimes more than we would prefer. If you know somewhere where we can get approximentally 50 metric tonnes of carrots or other assorted vegetables, grown without pesticides and with no additives or preservatives, in good and edible condition, please tell us so we can speed up the releases.Ehmmm.. carrots, huh. Well, where I live, they produce carrots, potatoes, onions, and other kinds of vegetables, so, tell me where to send them, and I'll think of something...
oh yes, tres soon. and you're going to love it :)
theres gonna be a ton of Rov coming your way so wait and seeIs that true? I mean like really really true? Eeeeyesyes!!

I've just noticed that episode 31 has a worse quality than the others. Will there be a better release in the future?if i'm not wrong we had several problems with this raw .so i can't be sure regarding a 'new' release regarding that episode .

Not unless someone wants to buy the DVDs for the second half for us, hehe. Then we'll redo the entire series :)

it's a dvd source too.;) episode 31 as well??
RoV is not licensed by any US companies (I'm in the US so that is who I am monitoring.. if any UK or Canadian companies pick it up, please let me know!) I'm not sure if it ever will be licensed as it's one of those neglected classics =/ plus the old animation doesn't appeal to a lot of people.I know, the reason I ask.. you gotta have some good titles to sell when starting out in the Anime publishing business.(and November is hopefully my start-up date)
Yes, well, Tofusensei, if you consider having a nearly complete business plan(a few details still to be worked out), business/studio locations scouted, applying for the 'Prince's Trust' business start-up financing and other such capital investments serious(I'm an ex-student, so I'm a bit poor, but that's no prob), then yes, very f*****g serious.
As for subtitling, well, there's that, then there's the translation, the DVD designing, encoding and such. Of course, I'll try to employ mostly from the Anime fan society, giving special preference to those in the North West of the UK, those from around Manchester-Liverpool area if possible.... hmm, now who is from Manchester or Scouse-land here at L-E??

P.S. Check out my other topic http://forum.live-evil.org/index.php/topic,664.0.html
Our slave encoder, and cod-fish eater extrodanaire gumbaloom is a Manchester guy ;DAhhh yes, Gumby, he's from Wigan, just 3 towns away from me actually. Well, that's the encoding so'ted :P Now, translation...
Translation doesn't really require that the person lives in the area. I'm testing out with a professional company in the US, so I'll let you know if they think my translations are good enough for commercial release :DYeh I know I know, that's why I was considering Jonathan Clements to do a few of the translations for any titles I start with... not sure if you've heard of him, he's the UK's No2 Anime authority(Helen McCarthy is No1) and has done a lot of translations for several legendary Anime's. On the subject of translations, any translation done, must be as literally close as possible, with the odd exceptions for slang and such, that will be the base standard.(I like perfection ;))
