Another thing to notice is that they haven't released anything at all since November 9th. Maybe there's something wrong?  ???

All hail the mighty pig!

Edit: I just want to say that I'm also waiting for episodes 5 and 6. I could get them from other groups but I started with Live-Evil and I'm going to stick with Live-Evil not matter how long it takes, I just want them to do a good work as always.

(Yes, this edit was only to avoid being completely off-topic)

Just to make things clear, Ashura is really gender-less... he does have a woman appearance but he's not either male or female.

It's because Ashura-ou (Ashura's father) has suffered a curse that if he ever had a son, that son would be born gender-less (that on RG Veda).

You can see that although he looks like a beautiful woman, he doesn't have breasts ^^"""

Ok, that explains a lot. Thanks for the polite reply.

in the manga he is referred to as 'ou' which means king or ruler (queen is 'joou') he is a guy in that part... now that you lost leave this discussion and find a better anime to watch

How did I lost if I wasn't trying to win anything?

All I'm saying is that when I look at this:

http://img468.imageshack.us/img468/4976/tsubasa09c058292ue.png

I think that's a woman. And, in this one:

http://img468.imageshack.us/img468/7679/tsubasa09c058155ew.png

I see (from left to right) a man and a woman, Yasha and Ashura.

I'm not saying that I'm right, I'm just saying what I see and, if I'm wrong, then I apologize for wasting everyone's time.

PS: I've never heard of RG Veda so I would never suspect their genderless.

Um, actually, Ashura neither has a wang nor a uterus.

http://www.absoluteanime.com/rg_veda/ashura.htm <-- RG Veda spoilers warning.

Well, I don't know about that but in the TRC manga, in one of the worlds, we'll get to meet Yasha and Ashura, a man and a woman that loved each other.

In the manga they also haven't mentioned yet anything about Fye's magic nor his tatoos so I guess we'll be wondering that for a long time.

And for the Fye fans, in the second season (if they follow the manga of course) Fye will be even more mysterious.

Oh, and Ashura is a woman. In the first episode is hard to see but later on it'll be pretty obvious.

Favorites? That's easy!

Female --> Sakura
Male --> Kurogane

Sakura is my favorite anime character of all time. I've been following her adventures since CCS and she is really cute all the time (except once at the start of the second CCS movie where I was like "Whoa!! She's so badass it can't be Sakura-chan!"),

Kurogane is one of my favorites because of his "badassosity" and I really like katanas.

Sorry for continuing to hijack the thread but I have one more thing to say:

When I watched CCS in the portuguese television I became instantly addicted to the series and when they aired the show for the second time I videotaped every episode and, since then, I've seen the 70 episodes in a row (with pauses to eat and sleep of course) at least 10 times (I think it's closer to 15 but I'm not sure since I've already lost count) over the past 5-6 years.

The problem is, as I found later, Portugal sucks when it comes to anime and, as such, they never aired the 2 movies and I never once saw for sale the DVDs nor the manga, so in order to get the japanese version I had to download it all fansubbed (70 episodes --> more than 10 Gb). The good thing about this was that while searching for the movies (the first one was really really hard to find) I found the 3 video diaries (they're hilarious), the 10 min. special with Kero-chan and Suppie as main caracters (also hilarious) and tons of CDs with the original songs.

Cardcaptors is THE reason I stopped watching anime dubed and started watching it subed.  No other anime dub has physically hurt my ears.  About the only other really anoying dub I know of is Magic Knights Rayearth.

Guess I'm lucky then because the portuguese dub of CCS was pretty good with only a few minor translation errors here and there. In fact, the voice acting was so good that I actually prefer the portuguese voice of Kerberos in his original form than it's japanese equivalent (they gave him a really deep voice that made him sound very serious and powerful and I think it really fits his original form).

The other voices were very similar with the japanese originals with the only exception being Yue's voice which, in the japanese version, is the same as Yukito while in the portuguese version they did the same thing as with Kerberos and gave him a more serious voice.

Oh, and of course they replaced almost every song with portuguese equivalents that are not the correct translation but in some cases comes close. The incredible thing is that the songs actually sound good and, in the case of "Platinum" (3rd opening) the portuguese version has, in fact, the word "platinum" in it.

Another thing is that it was CCS that started me in the anime world and, I have to say, it has been a very nice trip.

Now that I have finally seen the OVA I have to say that it really helps to understand better the series. And it seems that Blood+ takes place after Blood: the Last Vampire as a continuation of the OVA.

***SPOILERS: Watch the OVA before reading***

In the end of the OVA we can see a bomber flying, going to war and based on the time the OVA takes place we can safely assume that their refering to the Vietnam War. And then Blood+ starts with a scene on a village with a army and Saya killing everyone in sight. Obviously this takes place during the Vietnam War.

So, so far we can assume that after what happened at the military base in Last Vampire, Saya was sent to Vietnam to hunt the Chiropterans but something must have happened during the war that made Saya start killing humans. Then, between the opening scene of Blood+ and the rest of episode 1, they were able to stop Saya and her memory was erased, which could explain the difference in personallity that some of you are complaining about. But don't forget that at the end of episode 1 she tasted the blood of that guy and her eyes became red, which could mean that, sooner or later, the Saya from of the OVA will come back, even if just for some moments.

PS: I liked the OVA but really caugth me by surprise because I wasn't expecting to hear someone talk in english.

I was finaly able to watch the episode and I have to say that I liked it and I'm going to follow this series.

The starting scene of the episode reminded me of Elfen Lied with all that slaugther.

Well, I guess that now I have to find the OVA to see the differences.

I would also like to now how often is this anime going to be released?

I never heard about the OVA but I'm going to download this episode to see if the serie is worth watching. If I like it I guess I have found something to keep me entertained while waiting for TRC Season 2 (and maybe try to find the OVA).
