You know, at first, I thought that having Yamaguchi Kappei as L was a good choice on the behalf of whoever chose the voice actors.

After reading the manga some, and finally seeing L in the anime, I change my view.

It wasn't a good choice, it was perfect. There is quite simply no one who could have done L so well, and what with all the other obscure and eccentric characters he's played (Ryuichi Sakuma backs my point up severely), it's great to see that they realised that this character was pretty much made to be voiced by him.

<3 I'm such a Kappei fangirl.

And an "L" fangirl for that matter. He's so adorable....in his own little way.

I hafta say, for me, licenses aren't actually much of a worry. So many groups still do licensed projects, so there's really not much of a problem anymore.

Which is GOOD, but BAAAAD. In it's own way. Good for leechers, who dont' give a damn about being legal in their actions, and bad for...I forgot who it was bad for.

Some examples would be Blood+. Three groups did that ones (one is STILL doing it), and Naruto, which is very licensed, as far as things go, It's airing and such, and DB continues to do it. i think Mirage picked it up, too, so that's two teams for that one.

So, even though a license means that my favourite fansub group doesn't do it (though is perfectly within it's juristiction to do so), there's a high chance that there'll be another group continuing it, or picking it up.

Has for dubs, Ihave no love for them, so therefore have no idea what companies are good and which are bad

The scanlated manga I have starts off calling Light, raito, and Ryuk, Ryuku, but then, after about vol 5, they say they're changing it to the correct "Light" and "Ryuk" so as to go with the mangaka's wishes. So in any terms, Light and Ryuk are the correct names.

EDIT: Just finished watching episode 5, and i have to say, thats gotta be the worst, most annoying ending for an episode.

EVER.

It'd be even worse if I didn't already know what L looked like.

I'm curious as to whether Light making all of these moves is leading to suspicion on his part. I mean, if he hadn't killed Lind L Taylor, then it would've stopped L from deducing he was in the specified area of Japan, and perhaps would've made L doubt if he was actually in Japan or not.

He's covering his tracks while making more, basically.

The manga is amazing. I will not spoil what's to come in the anime.

But I think if something like the Death Note actually existed, it would be quite hard to say what you'd do with it. Hmm...there's a good question! If you had a Death Note, what would you do with it?

but it's very controversial topic, so it's probably best one not discussed.

I got ahold of the manga, and in the chapter where Light's saying he's going to kil all the criminals with a heart attack, he also says he'll make the useless people die of illness. Makes ya think he's a biiiit meaner that he's letting on.

When he is eventually found out, it'll be interesting to see what they'll do to him, as it'll be a bit...*shrug* odd to just...kill him for mass murder, that's that. Who knooows. Maybe they'll join him with his quest for a perfect world!

Haha! Dya remember the whining that occured when episode 26 of Tsubasa was delayed?

Eppie 4 was brill, though I really don't want him, to kill Ray, and yet, I've actually not much of a clue why, but seeing as now, Light's been confirmed as safe, if he kills the guy who was stalking (though YES I know that's not the correct term) him, then they're bound to figure it out. Or at least L will, if the police don't (but that's not the actual reason why I dun want Roy dead...)

I want more L *sulk*

Why yes. Yes I do :D

Although it's not a coupling of mine, I think SasuNaru from Naruto is enough of a point to back me up?

The two main characters are rather good-looking (though it's jsut a inferance on L's behalf) and male and both are rather...obscure. Need I say anymore to prove the possible yaoi?

Can I just ask (for pure need of knowing when to expect the subs out, as i've yet to notice when the links pop up), when does Death note air?

And I hafta say, I am in awe of the sheer brilliance of L. At the end of episode two, I was sat, staring at the screen for quite some time, thinking "holy hell, this is pure genious in action", though Light is, most certainly, catching up to him.

I cannot WAIT to see L in person (if that ever happens), especially as he's voiced by Yamaguchi Kappei (and I get a little fangirl squeal as I even type that name). I see makings of a shounen-ai coupling, but I'll leave that to me to think about...

I'd really love for Snow Queen to be continued! I'm so glad you guys continued fter having it on hiatus for so long! The last episode must've come out some time last summer?

I'll be checking out the QC job, as you guys are still one of my favourite fansub groups...even though I haven't been on here in forever.

I dunno if we should really be discussing it here, but that "life creating" magician was the person who created Chobits, with her husband, if I'm not mistaken. can't remember what her name was, though.

Also, jsut a quick note I've picked up on, YGO (or however we're abreviating) seems to have fastened the pace on Tsubas a bit. I mean, they released what? 4 episodes in about a week?

There jsut hasn't been a release in so long, I guess some people think that implies it's been dropped. I'm still hopeful though! I would also like to thank you guys, though....I can't remember what I came here for originally. hehe, probably Tsubasa...

I adore his grace. Just watching him is sorta like a dance. It's obvious, really, that there's so much to him, just by watching him, yet he seems so simple all at the same time.

That, and I loooooove blondes. Especially if they're like that. We've got Fai, and Tamaki and then Soubi! I really do think there's possible Kuro/Fai-ness though. And that's not jsut me beinga yaoi fangirl. There are specific justifications.

I really wish they had more of those kinda things in England! We have a scant few, and they never have any really cool people go....

Thanks for that. But i find sometimes that Amazon has stuff availible from the US, as there's international sellers (bit like ebay) that sell the same items amazon haven't released yet, as it's the british site. Personally, glad for that, as I do NOT wanna have to wait months for Gravitation manga.

Kurogane's pretty cool, but I guess the hair stroking-ness is supposed to reflect this personality. A lot of "I don't give, I'm a badass" characters do it. One i can think of for now - Shadow The Hedgehog....just sprining to mind. And I do like him in a form-fitting Tee, I've gotta admit. But the hakama was pretty aweosme. His original clothes win though, what with him looking all smexy in black... I guess the hair thing's supposed to sorta say "here, I've got scruffy hair, but I don't care!"
