Are there any plans for a fansub of the xxxholic movie? It was supposed to have been released on 20/08/05. Just wondering.
If LE isn't plannign to do it could someone please tell me what group is?

I think tofu plans to do it but it probably won't happen till the official Japanese Region 2's are out. Getting hold of GOOD raws of movies before the DVD release is often nigh on impossible and Live-eviL wants to work from the best raw source possible so unless a stupendously good raw source was found you'll have to wait till the DVD is out :P

I just looked up some information on this movie and there also seems to be another movie
for Tsubasa Chronicles itself
Are there also plans to sub this one when they release those dvd's?
That would be awesome! ;D

That's the plan, to sub both the XXXHolic and Tsubasa Chronicle movies when the DVDs come out (or when we get raws :X)

I'll add a note to this of GOOD raws. We are NOT interested in cam captures.

Ok so the movies are out and people keep on asking if we're gonna sub them.
The answer is YES.
BUT
We will not sub them untill we get a good raw. This will be done via one of 2 ways either
a) The official Japanese Region 2 DVD release
b) A GOOD quality raw eg 640x480. This is not i) a cam capture ii) an avi rip of a DVD (we'd prefer the vobs please).
If you come across a GOOD raw before the official DVD release then please contact Tofusensei. We will more than likely not need the DVD's as Tofu intends to collec the whole series + movie on DVD.
Use this thread for any and all discussion about the movies.

Does anyone know where chronologically the movie is set within the series?

I'm just afraid that the movies might get licensed before the dvds are released, which would result in waiting at least 2 years before seeing them ;_;

I thought that you all would be doing a sub of it, it would just be a matter of time. And when you do start on it, take your time and make it the best sub to ever come out of you guys. Just at tip for you against the fanboys and fangirls.... Never give a release date until you know that is the exact time it will be done. That should help allieviate the problems that some of the more impatiant Tsubasa Chronicle fans seem to be having!

I don't think a date has been released. I might be completely off base, but I think TC and xxxHolic are still playing in the cheap theaters right now.

I wonder what kind of extra features the DVDs would have. I'd love to see an omake episode of TC. Chibi Fye and Chibi Kuro-pon running around with the Manjuu Bun spitting out random crap.

Well that makes sense, why sub a bad quality RAW? I'll keep an eye out for the release. Does Live-Evil plan on keeping the relationship with Dattebayo when subbing the movie, or will this be a solo project?
