Thanks to all who have responded so far. BTW, I noticed that someone voted on the poll but didn't post about their choice. Now, now, don't be shy and let us all hear your reason for choice.  ;)

Disclaimer: This is in no way, shape, size, form, and etc meant to be a "Oh my god, look at me! I'm such a badass subber. I'm better than all of you and have leet interwebz fame and have a huge e-peen!" kind of thread. I just what honest opinions from honest, good old fansubbers.  8)

Anyway, I haven't created a new thread in these forums for quite some time now, so I decided to make a poll one. This one is for fansubbers only. In all honesty, how would you rate your fansubbing skills? I find this question rather interesting because you'll sometimes find rather intriguing responses. Plus, I get to pick your brains a bit, too.  :P Tell us which one you picked and why, please. Thanks.  :D

For me, I picked option #3: I'm pretty good, I suppose,  but always looking to make improvements. I chose this because I've been subbing for a while now, so I think I've honed my skill pretty well but not really well. Like with many things in life, there's always room for improvement.  ;)

*Super 7 year bump*

Er...sorry in advance for bumping this ancient thread.  :o

Anyway, just like many other subbers, real life obligations take priority over fansubbing for me. However, I still try to be involved with it as much as I can, whether it be on my days off of work or heck, even after work(sometimes). As for actually doing my part/job in the well oiled fansub machine, it really depends on how motivated I am at the time, really. Sometimes I'll be too tired or unmotivated, so naturally, I won't sub. It's all about battling the all mighty...um... laziness and winning, you know.  ;) Anyhoo, I wish I could sub more than I do now, but sadly, things don't always work out the way you want them to.

This thread needs to be resurrected :(

Well then, join in on the fun, Mamo.  :P

Someone else has to go, since I was the last one to post a word.

Good job and congrats, Gumb. Now, just kick back and enjoy some R&R.  :D

Nine days(eight for Tofu) until the release. It's heading into the home stretch.

*Ginormous Bump*

Sorry from bumping this thread, but someone has to clean off the dust and cobwebs.

Anyway, almost five years later from my last post, I still am a slave(in one way or another) to subbing. I suppose I'll be bound to it for life at this rate. Er...yeah, well, I still continue to sub because I still enjoy it, for the most part, and still like the "social" aspect of it. I always enjoy talking it up with my old subbing friends and of course, meeting new people and perhaps becoming friends with them. I've been a part of L-E for almost six years now. It doesn't seem that long though, honestly. Time sure does fly...

Twelve more days until the release of the blu-ray box set...

I still need to watch the rest of this series. I've seen like 5 or 6 episodes, I think, and have enjoyed what I've seen so far. Hopefully I can get around to watching the rest of it in the near future.  :)

It's going at a snail's pace...  :o

Just watched the episode a little while ago. The overall visual quality was leaps and bounds better than the old CPM release version. I can't wait to see the rest of the re-mastered episodes.  8)

No need to thank me. I'm glad I was able to help you guys out.  :) Besides, I'm a Leiji Matsumoto fan, so this was a project I really wanted to work on. Oh, and of course, because Harlock is a badass, too.  8)

It feels kinda weird that this series is almost completely released. I remember it was a little over three years ago when I took over TL duties for this.  Time sure does fly. :o  ;D
