Current & Future L-E Projects / Re: Ask Dr. Rin Status
« on: August 22, 2006, 08:42:55 pm »
Ok, I know its been a long time since anyone has seen activity from the Ask. Dr. Rin! project, but this message is for any fans that are left. In recent discussions amongst the LE staff, it has become apparent that there are a decent number of us that are still very interested in Rin and would like to get this project moving again. There is just one major obstacle holding us back from doing that. We no longer have an official DVD raw source. This problem can be solved in a number of ways:

1) Since I am interested enough in Rin to buy the series myself, wait for me to finally get a job again and do it. (Definately not going to be a quick solution.)

2) If one of you fans has the Rin DVD's, or knows someone who does, volenteer them for LE to use.

3) We could take up a general collection and hope that enough fans are intersted and we get enough $$$ to buy the DVD's. (Also probably not a quick/good solution.)

As you can see, the lack of a raw source is a major problem, and until this issue can be resolved, sadly, none of us can expect to see much more from this series.  :'(

Oppai Fansubs / Thoughts on "The Early Days of Fansubbing post series"
« on: August 21, 2006, 11:37:10 pm »
I am really glad that you took the time to post this informative look back into the history of fansubbing. :D I thought it was very interesting. I wasn't even really aware of fansub groups and IRC until a few months ago, so if it wasn't for your post series I would have had no idea that all of that stuff occured earlier in fansubbing history. I appreciate it even more since it is hard to find much documantation on fansubbing in general, especially from earlier periods of time. Thanks again! ;D

Hello Bobby!

I'm glad to hear these good news! Creamy Mami was one of the first animes I watched and I never got to see the ending! Thanks for stepping up to the translator position!!!

Also I see from your avatar that you are a kodocha fan ;)

ganbatte!

I only wish I was talented enough to be a translator Babitto! What I do as the editor is make sure script punctuation and spelling is correct as well as rewording and "Englishifying"  ;) some of the less understandable diologue so that you Mami fans wil be able to easily follow what it going on in each episode.  ;D

Luckily, the last 7 episodes of the series are already translated, so they just have to go through pre-editing, translation check (by the lovely and talented Tsubasa :D), main editing, then off to the Quality Control Channel where our dedicated QC staffers do an error check. Next, any errors are fixed by the editor, and the episode is then given one final look by the QC staff to make sure its good to go. After that, it gets released!

As you can tell, at Live-eviL we make every effort to make sure that our releases are of the finest quality. It may take a little longer that way, but we believe producing a quality fansub is worth it.

On a side note, we could use a few more Quality Control Checkers at this time for Creamy Mami and other Live-eviL series. If any of you fans feel like you have a good grip of the English language as well as good grammar and punctuation skills, and think you may have an hour or two per week to help out, please check out the "Come QC for Live-eviL" thread in the "Live-eviL Recruitment Center" forum. We could use your help!  :) ;) :D ;D

Hello Creamy Mami fans! :D I have recently been recruited to help out with editing for the remaining 7 episodes of this TV series. I haven't really followed the series myself, so it is new to me, but after reading this thread I can see that you dedicated fans have been waiting a very long time to see the rest it. ;) On that note, I pledge to you all that I will work as hard and as quickly as I can to get these episodes edited. ;D Please cheer on me, Tsubasa, and everyone else working on this project as we do our best to finally get it finished for you! :) ;) :D ;D

So you'll never hear me saying fansubbers should hurry up. In fact, I'm one of few who have realised we are depended on you loyal fansub groups. At second how can I complain on something that's free. The only thing I do is wait till the whole work is done, download and comment.

Fansubbers, L_E you too, anyone who do something for free, good job.

Thanks for the support!  ;) :D ;D

Yay! I'm extremely happy to hear that this project is really moving again. I hadn't even heard of it before I joined the Live-eviL QC team, but now that I have watched it, I absolutely love it. And Tsubasa, I join you in your hope that Tofu will promptly find the time to t/l check episode 9 because I can't wait to see the rest! ;)

Wow, I didn't realize that tlynnec did so much of the stuff for Yawara! She deserves a major round of applause!!!!! :D Thanks for all of that hard work tlynnec ;D. I may not have experience with a lot of those particular jobs myself, but from what I do know, I can still truly appreciate all of the time and effort it must take for you.  :o All of the Yawara fans out there should really start bowing down and kissing the ground you walk on  ;)

General Forum / Re: Kitties! ^_^
« on: August 10, 2006, 02:30:38 am »
I have never had a kitty of my own :( I have worked for many veterinary clinics though, and seen all kinds of cats with all kinds of personalities over the years. They ranged from very cute and cuddly  ;D to semi-demonic  :o . If I ever do get a cat though I want a cute little grey one. Which I will train to not climb the curtains and not spray on the walls, and not do any of those other undesireable cat things.  ;)
