"Freaky Planet" is first, then "Disco Time", "Raimei -out of kontrol-", and finally "Angel Eyes".  They released the four singles over the last four months of 2005, then released the album "GRID" in January.  Each had a CD+DVD option that included the music video on the DVD; the album has all four put together as "Crossing Trail ~Road Movie Completed~".

You can buy them at either of these sites:
move @ YesAsia.com
move @ CDJapan.co.jp

As for the videos...
Freaky Planet
Disco Time
Raimei -out of kontrol-
Angel Eyes

There's multiple versions of Raimei and Angel Eyes on youtube, in case you don't like the one I randomly picked from the search results.

http://www.animeondvd.com/licenselist/I.php

The Grand on High licensing list states - "At least both TV series and the OVA". eg Initial D 1st, 2nd and 3rd Stage.

I think this is where the confusion was coming from.  OVA = Extra Stage, while 3rd Stage = movie.  The Grand on High licensing list is correct.

Hm, I can't really read japanese, but the last info i can find on this page is that 19 and 20 aired on october 15th... nothing about 21-22
http://www.geocities.com/go2initiald/main.html
Here it says 21-22 will be on air on december 17th

go2initiald got their info from the OB Planning (OB Kikaku) website, the other company that works with Avex to co-produce Initial D.

http://www.obkikaku.com/initial/index.html

The third line in the big blue box says that 21/22 will air on Dec 17.

@azndvl: Now I known why you asked... The new website is horrible (sorry guys!), there is no information about projects, their status, no link for bt or irc, just news. And the design is hideous.
That's no offense, just my point of view...
There is even the usual project-status in the channel-topic missing.

It's not a *new* website - they made a post explaining why it had to be this way: http://www.live-evil.org/archives/2005/10/16/hax0red  Of course, that was two weeks ago... you'd think they could recover in two weeks, wouldn't you? o_O

Wearing sunglasses in the pitch-black night makes them look really intelligent... 8)
Meh, it's just part of their persona.  They wear them during all their concerts - it must take some skill not to run into each other on stage. :D

I just noticed something on the Avex official site: it says that m.o.v.e made an appearance (出演{shutsuen} - performance, stage appearance) in Act 20, and they have character sketches up for t-kimura, Yuri, and Motsu.  I haven't watched the raws (I always wait for L-E's release), but does anyone who has watched them know about this?

Music = Peoples personal taste

Amen!

Hip-hop and Nu Jazz (whatever the heck that is) may be, as kansai22 says, the current driving forces behind the world's music, but that doesn't mean that everyone in the world has to like them just because they're the new trend.

As for eurobeat taking on a hiphop style, i would have to agree with dr_ishmael, M.O.V.E has always been like that, can anyone name a song where Motsu sings rather than raps???

Actually, I can name plenty myself where he does sing.  (Sugar Sugar Rain, Lookin' on the Sunny Side, Deep Calm, Vagabond...)  But even in those, he's only singing part of the time - I can't think of one offhand where he sings through the entire song.

Anyway, great job L-E!  I'm patiently awaiting the next release, because I know the quality is always awesome coming from you guys!

You ask where the hip hop is in Initial D. In the opening and closing themes half the lyrics are rapped. As I said before Hip hop and Nu Jazz and huge in Japan. ( Dabo, Soul out, Crystal Kay, M-Flo Jazztronik, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Dj Krush ect.

o_o.... Um, the opening and closing themes (except the two endings by Galla) have ALWAYS had half the lyrics rapped, because that's what m.o.v.e does - Yuri sings, Motsu raps, and t-kimura composes/arranges/programs the music.  It's not that they're "phasing in" hip-hop or anything like that - they've ALWAYS done this since the group formed in 1997.  They were, admittedly, going through a more rockish/hip-hoppish phase for the past year or so, but on their newest single (to be released this month) they're returning to their techno roots.

The other groups you mention - particularly Soul'd Out, Crystal Kay, and M-Flo - have also been rapping for a number of years; I believe M-Flo is even older than m.o.v.e, actually.

I have a 110 inch screen with a Qualia 004 projector, every TV in my house is 50 inches or larger except the exercise room and kitchen. Do you really believe I want to watch on my pc screen?

O______O.................fucking rich bastard...

If all of us were as rich as you, sure, we'd all buy Japanese PS2s to watch our complete collections of R2 Initial D with on our beautiful 110-in. projection TVs.  Unfortunately, since DXpetti is, as you say, "trailer trash", he probably can't afford this.  For him, and for me, and probably for the majority of the users on this forum, a region-free DVD player or region-switchable DVD-ROM is a much more affordable solution.

[EDIT] wrongly named Brokenimage0 as the one insulting/being insulted - gomen nasai!

Ouch...  Can we please not flame each other?  There's no reason to insult anyone's intelligence based on his/her music preferences.  (I LOVE Eurobeat myself, and I hold a Master's degree in Computational Chemistry.)  Your statement about buying a Japanese PS2 (when you can much more easily buy a region-free DVD player or adjust your DVD-ROM drive's settings) and your improper use of commas in the second sentence don't do much for my impression of you, either.

Initial D is a great series one of the main flaws I see with the series are the euro-beat sounds. This may have been ok when the series first started but at this point it does not fit the series. IF you havent noticed the euro- beat sound is slowly being phased out of the Japanese version in favor of a hip hop/ rock style.

Actually, I think it's only rock - I haven't noticed much of a hip-hop influence in the ID4S music (but then, I don't really understand what "hip-hop" is anyway).  And it's not that "they" are phasing out Eurobeat at all -- Eurobeat *itself* is evolving, retaining its electronica roots while adapting rock sounds to fit within that framework.  Just check out any of the recent Super Eurobeat compilations - it's still Eurobeat, but with a new sound.

Sorry for that. I think I've gotten rid of the bootlegs, unless they both were?

Is this a decent dvd set?  I'm trying to find a good dvd set with the first three stages.
http://cgi.ebay.com/INITIAL-D-ANIME-COMPLETE-10-DVD-SET-US-Seller-3-95-S-H_W0QQitemZ5998368834QQcategoryZ73574QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Yep, that's a Hong Kong/Taiwan bootleg set.  See where it says "Initial D TV series collection (3 dvd)"?  Anything that puts 26 episodes on 3 discs (or otherwise has more than 5 eps/disc) is 99% not offical.  (Off the record, I also recognized it from the picture because a friend of mine bought them long before Tokyopop licensed the series.)

h.264 DVD version is encoded at a higher resolution than the xvid one.

Durrr...   ^^;;;;;  Can't believe I missed that...

Anyway, all I am saying is, the idea of h.264 using an insane amount of CPU to render is a myth. It uses no more CPU than xvid :X

Hm, that's odd, because I got similar results to ladoga's.  I have an Athlon 64 3000+, and I tracked CPU usage in Task Manager while playing the intro of Tsubasa Chronicle 01 in both xvid (left) and h.264 (right) formats.  Noise (CPU usage when idle) is between 0-2%.

As you can see, h.264 used about 10% more CPU on average than xvid.  Now, the 3000+ only runs at ~1.8 GHz, so that would be a difference of ~180 MHz, with actual usage of around 900 MHz for h.264 playback.

I still agree with Tofusensei that h.264 doesn't take an *insane* amount of CPU, but based on my results, it does indeed take more than xvid.

SUPER EUROBEAT presents NON-STOP RE-MIX [Project D. ver.2]

credit : idforums
Are you sure about that?  Because the one on the Avex site says quite clearly (in Japanese) that there are only 13 tracks on the album, not 17.  It looks like whoever posted this just compiled the songs from the ending credits of every episode.

As for the other current topic of discussion... um, I'm actually buying the Tokyopop release. *dodges rotten fruit*  I just pretend the Tricked Out version doesn't exist.

Avex just announced the release of ID4S D Selection 2 (and D Sound Files 2); it has 12 tracks + a non-stop remix, but sadly, Right Now didn't make the cut. (tracklist)
