It seems CLAMP has chosen to change their art so that it's less time consuming and more shounen style (CRAP), but I would rather have the pretty looking character designs and background art that we had for MKR or CCS.

Hmmn, I don't agree.  Granted, you don't like them as much as their earlier work.  As for me, the style chosen or the style CLAMP has embraced for both TC and Holic suits the theme, which for me is an exploration of desire; therefore the flowing, intricate style so characteristic of Art Nouveau adds an extra layer to their visual narrative.

I did not vote for Mami but I did go and watch the first five episodes of Mami, and decided that they are not my cup of tea...but I can see why others might find it appealing.  The main character is very cute and pink!

I much prefer the more stylized drawings of both Matsumoto's animes Galaxy Express 999 and Captain Harlock although at times I find the moralizing aspects of these two series a bit on the pedantic side 

Why did I post, so that Tsubasa would not feel too lonely, plus it's raining out and I'm waiting for the World Cup quarter finals!

Hello! 

If I were you, I would not feel abandoned or lonely...  It's just the time of year in some parts of the world called SUMMER!!!   People want to be outside, instead of being cooped up in front of a computer terminal!
 
Also... 2006 is WORLD CUP time! (Go Brazil!)  So my eyes (and probably those of others) have been glued more to the tv set than anywhere else!

On the anime side, many people visited this thread to discuss their favourite show, so when that disappeared, they naturally went to other places where they could talk about it...  Unless you rather people just drop by and write about unrelated topics such as "yesterday I bought this great pair of sandals that so match my pink toes..."

As for me, I've started bying the TC manga (which is beautifully drawn!), and have become hooked on xxxHOlic.

And really someone should take care of the ending karaoke, the font for the subtitles, karaoke style and timing it's so not right.

Hey! I ain't complainin' darlin' cuz us Japanese language noobs don't have that kinda luxury   I'm just glad somebody's gettin' em out!   In other words, short of dragging my friend (Japanese native speaker who detests anime of any sort), making this person sit on the coach so they can perform simultaneous translation as  we watch the raw...

Complaining is a luxury...

Having said that, I do hope Tofu and L-E resolve their differences, because together they produce very high quality material...

As for fixes, I'm actually catching up now to past episodes of Galaxy Express

I do hope at some time, when is most convenient for Tofusensei and other involved individuals, that they do finish the fansubbing of Nana and Tsubasa Chronicles. Cheers.

Ditto What Archangel said   I do think Tofusensei is one heck of a good translator! But I also understand he has a life too!

Let's keep our spirits up, people!  Who's your fave TC character?

I love Kurogane, because in general I like his "bark worse than bite" attitude! And of course, say no more! I'm a great Fei-san fan!  I love his easy going, laid back way of doing things, even though I know he carries a heavy (as of yet undisclosed) burden...

Oh!    I see, thanks for the info SailorYue!   Spoiler or no spoilers nothing can make me lose my enjoyment of this beautiful anime!  I rather like the stylish elongated figures... And of course, Kuropon is my favourite badass!

Does anyone have any idea of who are the two rather mysterious characters who are observing everything.  From what I've seen, he seems to be the one holding some sort of terrible power? but on the other hand, his feminine counterpart could prove to be a dark horse... Am I making any sense?

On the side, I like the outfit she's wearing!

I dunno, heh! heh!  I was in another forum when I read about the finalists of a talent show... Unless two people are calling themselves "Tofusensei"     He made it to the semi-finals!

Well, my first anime would have been Kimba, mixed with some Speed Racer, followed by Voltron, and then the first broadcast of Robotech in '85. After that I was more into comics/manga for a few years, until anime started appearing in Diamond Previews. Diamond required long lead times, so when Right Stuf offered anime by mail order, I bought from them -- and AnimEigo, since they were happy to sell direct in an age when most companies thought their market was retailers. I eventually got a Pentium 1 for use as internet (dial-up) access (which it still does),
and started getting VHS fansubs from various people who were offering them back then. The MPEG 1 Digisubs were too large for the speeds of the day, and the Real digisubs were too poor, so digisubbing didn't really take off until the Divx codec appeared. And then the explosive growth with BT followed a few years later.

Wow! When I compare what's available now to what was there say even six or seven years ago, it just boggles the mind!!!!  I live in Toronto, and the stuff you can get here at relatively low costs is astounding... Just yesterday I picked up a VHS tape of Robotech for just a buck!    The local basic cable channel YTV broadcasts a series of animes (Naruto, Inuyasha, One Piece, Fullmetal Alchemist and the like....) However, I wonder how much cutting they'd had to undergo in order to be "shown" on basic cable???  Sometimes with most of these anime, it's like going from the hands of a top-notch couturier into the hands of anyone who knows how to operate scissors....

Umm..Yuuko is not a guy and then she is also not a heroine, I said in my previous posts that I didn't think Sakura is a heroine either.

I always thought 'heroine' here was meant as the main character in the story
Perhaps the poll should be rephrased to character most likely to kick-major-ass given they can port all their powers to the fighting arena.... But nah! that's way toooo loooooonnnng!!!!
