We actually do have the commentaries already. And we're going to be translating them ourselves.
My mind is like a sieve. It retains all sorts of interesting bits and lets the important stuff flow straight through.

GOOD GOD! You are starting to sub MCoG!  *runs and hugs everyone on this project to death* I have wanted to rewatch this show since it's air on Nick back in the 80's.  It was probably my favorite cartoon during it's run on Nick.  I know bad dub... but I was like 5-7 or something in there when this was playing on TV.  Now I not only get my Matsumoto fix I get my nostalgic memories of childhood fix.  You guys rock!

So how is the project going ?
No news since the sub sample.
I hope you didn't drop it, but even if you did, you would have a good reason so I respect that ;)

There *is* a sub of ep 1 of the French version sitting around somewhere.

Um, I'm new to this forum and I know this is very old topic (being 2 years old).  Don't shoot me as I'm only newbie :)

Just wondering the status of this project?  Is it dropped or on stall or not?  Sorry if my question is silly or somewhat :)

Thanks for the update! And keep up great work on fansubbing! :D

It got licensed before we could release any episodes, which is probably why you didn't hear anything more about this project. *shrug* Here are links to the DVD sets, which come out next month:
http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/JT1hV6RpTmVgfGtXqV/browse/item/82658/4/0/0 (complete)
http://www.rightstuf.com/cgi-bin/catalogmgr/JT1hV6RpTmVgfGtXqV/browse/item/82659/4/0/0 (deluxe edition with more spicy features)
It's probably available for preorder from other DVD retailers too, like Amazon. Hope that helps.

Yes, this is the French version dubbed into English. The Japanese version is different in a few major ways, the biggest being that it has a different music track performed by an orchestra. There were also a few scenes in the French version that were not in the Japanese and vice-versa. I'm just wondering if they will include the end documentaries.

Oh i see now.

Thanks for the explanation.   Yeah i have seen englsh MCOG but I wanna see French or Jap version as i didnt like english dub very much.  >_>  Ah well, I hope that the new remake MCOG series (72 or 78 episodes) will be much better this time :)  (along with a MCOG movie which is compilation of old MCOG series apparently).

Anyway thanks again for the explanation/updates.

Cheers
