Hi, just lo let you guys know funi has put the whole series up by now and I'm downloading a the moment, I just wish the format wasn't .flv (my PMP won't play it), besides that I'm pretty excited  :D.

Oh and one more thing, it is region-locked, but they allow more countries than CR, anyways it was pretty easy to overcome the region-lock  ;D, if anybody has trouble being locked out let me know and I'll help  ;).

I'm from UK and I'm downloading now as well. Region-lock is not affecting me at all.

kaleyboy, yeah the UK isn't locked out, it seems they have the rights to distribute to the US, Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, South Africa & United Kingdom (I saw this on a FAQ page at funi video page about purchasing videos for download). Anyways I found here how to overcome this http://forums.boxtorrents.com/index.php?topic=17910.msg411326 (you would need firefox for this to work).

I'll convert them to the AVI format in order to reduce the size (~200MB to ~80MB).

Just finished watching all 113 episodes! but i checked wikipedia and i see this...

TV Series, 1978, 113 episodes + 4 TV special

Is that part of series not licensed or is everything galaxy express 999 licensed?

Just an (extremel late) note:Episode 7 has a note describing what Salgasso is, which is wrong.  Actually, it's a reference to the Sargasso Sea, which is infamous for the (false) legends of ships being trapped there.

(And how exactly do you download Funimation episodes?  My DownloadHelper firefox plugin doesn't work for it.  I was able to download Crunchyroll episodes by copying the temporary file it creates.  Are the episodes any better quality than at Crunchyroll?)

Were you the guy calling up the pig on skype the other day to ask him to point his skype-cam at his computer monitor and then go on crunchyroll to watch the stuff you normally couldn't watch?

actually i don't know any one outside the country ..
