Unexpectedly good films...

I rented Goodbye Lenin yesterday, a truly fantastic German film about the fall of the Berlin wall.  Very funny, very sad and doesn't hide from the politics.  It also feels like a very personal film.  Definitely worth watching.

they translated it into english? I wanted to watch it with my girlfriend but she doesnt know german...  :-/

I'd been looking to see it for a while. It was always on in Paris, but having minimal skills in both French and German it was a no no.  Then I just popped into my local and crappy Blockbuster video and there it was nicely subbed into English.

now the question is if the german dvd will have english subs :x

i watched Army of Darkness recently.  Now, ok, ok, its a crap film but hilarious.  and a well made crap film. its worth a looksee if you havent already.
