Manga has been finished by now. Last year they said they wait until it's finished. Currently what I know is that supposedly in this june's issue of Japanese anime magazine Newtype(could be march, april or may too) producer said that there will propably be a 2nd season. I've also heard that magazine called "hobby japan" had some info about 2nd season. however, as far as I know, they didn't put any kind of releasing dates, so I guess we just have to wait for now.  :-/

i'm glad to here that the second season is in project .. we can wait a bit more if we know the anime will be out one day !!

Yeah, but it wouldn't be the first time producer said like that and then nothing comes. Good sign, though, like the licence of first season.
With Slam dunk it was a bit same situation, everybody waited for 2nd season but it never came. However, Slam dunk would have been very long series, which(so I've heard) was the main reason they didn't continue it. I think Dear Boys 2nd season would be like another 26 eps. Oh well, like I've said, time will tell.

I was so surprised when I hear dear boys was licensed.
I loved working on that series. When it comes out on dvd I will for sure buy it. It will be the 1st series I worked on that got licensed and we did it. If there will be a 2nd season it would probably be 26 eps and I will so be there to work on it again.
Live-evil will for sure do the 2nd season.

Also good to see that this forum is still alive cause Dear Boys kicked ass.
