Maybe Galen Musbach has the DVD ? He seems to collect most (if not all) DVD boxes of mahou shoujo stuff and he has posted here in the forum offering to help L-E with some raws (check the Creamy Mami thread). Maybe he doesn't have them, but I guess asking wouldn't hurt.

Another option would be using the HK DVD for raws. The HK guys have released the entire Ask Dr. Rin series and the DVDs can be bought from ebay for cheap. But they're bootlegs, of course, and maybe you won't want to work with them.

Thanks for the suggestions! I sent a PM to Galen, so we'll see what happens with that! In case it doesn't pan out though, if anyone else out there can volunteer a raw source for us it would be much appreciated!

I don't have Dr. Rin but have now ordered Box 1 (CD Japan); I'll get box 2 later. Once it arrives, how do I get the data to the encoder? (My upload speed is about 50 MB per hour. 25 GB of data is therefore a 500 hour upload.)

Rip using DVD encrypter, write vobs to DVD and mail. Your media costs / shipping costs would be covered by someone.

Yeah Galen would make such a great and dedicated raw provider.  I'll see what I can do about his wanting to provide us those Mami DVD rips though.  ;)

Go Galen! We're counting on you.  The best thing that can happen now is seeing another stalled project be back on track.  :P

Wow Galen! It seems like everybody wants to get their hands on the raws! Guess we'll have to duke it out amongst ourselves first to figure out who gets the privilege! ;)

Actually, StarCreator should be the one that you send the raws to. As far as I know, neither WillowD or I even have any experience with encoding, and StarCreator has been the encoder for the previously released episodes I believe, so there is really no contest.  ;)

And now I'm changing my answer yet again to: Answer Pending until all interested parties can get together and discuss the best course of action.

Stay tuned to for the actual answer, and possibly more bonus flip-flopping from me!   ;) ;D

Hmm, apart from being an editor and qc'er, WillowD is learning how to encode too, besides timing and karaoke.

Sorry, I was conversing with gumbaloom the other day and he was talking about you encoding, but I guess he was referring to you wish to encode Rin in the future, not that you had encoded for Rin in the past. My mistake! :P :D
