Live-eviL Recruitment Center / We need a TIMER and new Quality Checkers!
« on: October 11, 2013, 09:34:39 am »
Hi guys. We're getting really active subbing lots of cool projects (some of which we haven't announced yet). We have tons of translations stacking up but we are running behind on TIMING them. If you are familiar with Aegisub and looking to join the oldest active fansubbing group around, post here or come on irc and message me! I'd love to talk.

In addition, because of all these new episodes, we are falling behind in the QC department. If you want to have a direct impact on the quality of our scripts, please consider joining our QC team! No experience necessary! Post here or message an op on IRC.

Lastly, any translators who are looking to work on shows that have never been subtitled before, please reach out. We've got a ton of cool new project ideas. Do you really enjoy wasting your skills on a show that's being simulcast by Crunchyroll or elsewhere? Come to the light side where you can make an immediate impact on shows that people can't see elsewhere.

If you know of any timers, QCs, or translators who might be interested, PLEASE refer them our way. We would love to talk.

Thank you!!

tl;dr: message Tofusensei in #live-evil on to learn more.  <- void
As our Tofusensei has once again, Flown the coop, jumped the ship, left town, beat a hasty retreat, cut and run, vamoosed himself, taken the slow boat to China, skedaddled his bad ass, scampered off, shook a leg, took it on the lam, ducked out, is playing extended hooky, In other words... he made like a tree, and got outta here. :o So since he has chosen to be " defunct" until further notice, as stated below, if interested, please contact Suzaku or Mamo-chan .

Except for the Pig / Regarding Swine Flu and the Live-eviL Pig

There have been many concerned questions about catching swine flu from having visited our forum.

We at Live-eviL are working closely with the World Health Organization and Center for Disease Control to ensure that anyone exposed is treated and quarantined as soon as possible.

Please exercise caution while on this forum and continue practicing basic hygiene steps such as washing your hands and keyboard after using the internet.

We promise to keep you abreast on this issue.

Thank you.

Live-eviL Recruitment Center / IN NEED: Fansub Timer
« on: January 08, 2008, 08:29:25 am »
Hello, all!

We are currently in desperate need of a dedicated timer who can help us get through a mountain of untimed scripts we have accumulated. At least count, it stands at 74 episodes. We need someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty timing rapidly over the next month until we catch up.

This is a serious request and it’s a great chance to become a full time staff member in our group. Knowledge of Japanese is not required, though it is helpful. If interested, please contact me at or find me on irc in #live-evil on (my nick is Tofusensei).

I faithfully await your application. Thanks!

Hello all.

We at Live-eviL Fansubs always strive to bring you the best quality fansubs available on the intraweb. We currently have an opening available for someone to join our QC staff to focus solely on helping to maintain 100% accuracy of translations.

日本語の流暢な日本の方も是非募集していただきたいです。 にメールしてください。ファンサブでお互いに英語も日本語も勉強しましょう♪

We have some excellent Japanese-to-English translators in our group, but we are human and sometimes make mistakes. Also, sometimes, throughout the course of editing and timing scripts, the meaning of some lines may get skewed. This is where you come in! You will get to view our releases before they go to the public and keep an eye out for any inaccuracies that may arise.

You do not need to put in the same level of script QC as the other QCers, just watch and note any lines that could use an improvement on translation. This will make your life easier and will greatly assist us in maintaining the top notch quality that we have become known for.

The requirement for this is that you must have a very high proficiency in Japanese (not English, necessarily, we can gladly communicate in Japanese as well.)

Please either respond in this thread, email me at or /msg Tofusensei on

We look forward to hearing from you!
